Works great

Got this for a charbroil single ignition 4 burner performance grill. Could not find one anywhere and was skeptical about this one because I was afraid the thread size was going to be too large. But it fits perfect and works perfect as far as firing up the grill. The single wire is standard(same exact connection as the charbroil performance connection). The only thing that I found odd, and this was probably my fault somehow, but the button shocked me several times while sparking it. I screwed it in tighter and it seems to have quit shocking me. So, I believe it's just that it isn't grounded properly if not tightened enough, and that somehow causes it to arc back through the button, which is odd because my other igniters don't do that. On the other ones you can have the device not connected to the grill and just be holding it, pushing the button and observing the spark without getting shocked. Either way, I gave it 5 stars. It showed up very quickly. I installed it in about 1 minute. It fits the hole. The wire fits. It lites the grill quickly. If there was another con, it would have to be that the pulse isn't rapid. But it lit. So it's fine with me. Hope this helps someone.

Installed in a minute or two, slightly smaller than the old one. I received a 15 yo grill from a neighbor and everything worked we after replacing cracked the propane hoses. When the igniter only worked with firm pressure and a new, warm battery, I discovered corrosion on the negative battery terminal which contact cleaner did not fix. After installing this I got strong, rapid sparks that ignited quickly. I keep my grill covered when not in use but we get a lot of snow and moisture here in Central WA. Will report back on longevity.

I have an old Members Mark Stainless Steel Grill - it's at least 17 years old, maybe older. I replaced the grates, and a couple of knobs, but other than that it's been going strong. The igniter stopped working this year - and after almost setting my hair on fire with a lighter, I decided to replace it. I couldn't find an exact replacement, but the 4 port version of this product was the closest I could find (just a bit smaller than the original, same number of ports, same battery size). I ordered it on a Tuesday afternoon, it arrived the next day before noon. It took less than 10 minutes for me to replace (since I had to pull out the old one to measure it the day before), and I was so happy when I heard the clicking sound after it was all hooked up (up until that point I wasn't sure if it was the igniter that was the issue or one of the wires). Very happy with this purchase.

Worked good at first and then stopped working after 8 months. New batteries were installed and still no spark. Had to buy a new one.

push button igniter perfect for job of replacing the one on my calor gas heater a little smaller than the original a little tinkering now fits well and works well.
