It does what it says on the tin. Fits the fridge it is intended for and the water is clean and clear. What more can be said?

Nothing I hate more than cheap nasty manufacturing. And here it is ladies and gentlemen! So shocked by the total defect in the clip to fit in my fridge. You can see in the pics where my fridge has made marks in the new filter. I have also sent a picture of the OLD filter which fits perfectly. And a picture of both filters showing the same part number and the difference in the slope on the plastic clip. Don't buy it, it won't fit, this one is getting dropped off at the post office in the morning. Awful.

If, like me, you are struggling to fit your new filter you need to use the old filter to fully open the locking mechanism before fitting the new one. When unlocking don't let the old filter pop out, hold it in place and turn as far as it will go, before removing it. This tip came from the Samsung web site and worked for me."If the old filter inserts easily but the new filter does not, it is because the old filter is not opening the locking mechanism all the way to make room for the correct Samsung brand filter. It only opens the lock enough for itself to get out.To fix this, hold the old filter in the locking mechanism and turn it all the way open before letting it come out. This is sort of like using the old filter as a screwdriver to open the lock all the way. The steps are:Temporarily reinstall the old filter.While pressing the filter into the housing, turn it to the left as far as it will go, even past the point where the filter could be removed, until the filter can no longer be turned left while held into the housing.Remove the old filter, and install the new filter."
