The Cobalt Aquatics ACCU-Therm fully submersible heaters feature an easy to set thermostat with and ON/OFF indicator light that is Triac equipped that turns the heater on and off at lower voltage, and magnetic contacts that ensure positive contact and release of the thermostat switch every time. All of these features are have been engineered to extend life and reliability of the thermostat and ultimately the heater. The tube is made of Borosilicate glass for superior heat and shock resistance and surrounds a high quality ceramic heat radiator that provides even and the best heat distribution from the heating elements. Perfect for freshwater and saltwater aquariums. Accurate to ยฑ2ยฐ. Available in 25 - 300 watt sizes. Review: Garbage - Not even a week old I hear a loud bang and this thing exploded in my sump of my saltwater tank! Review: Solid heater with good, consistent performance - Solid heater with good, consistent performance. I replace these annually, 'need it or not,' so I have never had problems with a Cobalt. I figure critical equipment like a heater needs to be replaced at least annually to preclude any malfunction and minimize risk to fish.

Arrived on time and is working fine. After a month and a few days the heater burst in the fish aquarium .

Horribly Inaccurate
Purchased two of these units for a 200 gallon marine aquarium. Very glad I tested them in 5 gallon buckets before deploying. On one unit received, markings on thermostat were approximately 10 degrees off...so 72 degrees resulted in 82 degree water. And on the other unit, needed to turn thermostat to its lowest setting to achieve 76 degree water. Returning both units.

The heater keeps my 50 gallon tank to 76 degrees which is what I have the heater set to so it works great. I have had no problems with this heater at all.
