Works as designed and is an excellent product.

Powerful adhesive pull strength. I think the spec says 30 pounds per square inch of tape but check that for yourself. Five years ago I used it to hold solar panels on the roof of our RV so that I don't have to make holes in the roof. Of course I test it at the start of every season with all the pull I dare apply without breaking the panels. Speeds up to 75 mph and the panels are still there.. . More recently I used it to support the glass panel table top beneath the surrounding steel frame of our patio table. (The original plastic clips had failed and would allow the glass to fall.) The resulting supporting bond is far stronger and safer than the original clips.

Brilliant. This is perm tape, has been flawless in my application (latest ones, attaching alarm sensor to wall - you don't want these to fall). Be 'warned' this is a small roll - is it's 'expensive' - but I would buy it again in a heartbeat (good value considering quality). It's thin enough but not too much.

3M 5952 VHB is one of those products that ends up being useful for way more things than expected. It is especially helpful for automotive trim, small mounts, light accessories, and anything where you want a clean strong bond without screws. The wider 1/2-inch size is especially nice because it gives you more holding surface and more flexibility than the super narrow rolls. Great to keep around if you do DIY, automotive, or mounting projects regularly. Pros: ✅ Very strong adhesive bond ✅ Great for trim and accessory mounting ✅ Cleaner than drilling in many situations ✅ Useful size for a lot of projects Cons: ⚠️ Surface prep is critical ⚠️ Strong bond means removal later can take effort Overall, this is one of those products that is just good to have on hand.

Bought this roll of Scotch 3M VHB tape to secure two carbon fiber mirror covers on my Porsche. This stuff is very strong. I cut strips of the tape to line the outside edges of the covers and added 3 strips to the inside back of the covers. Then carefully slipped the covers onto my car's mirrors. This adhesive is very strong, once applied, it's very difficult to remove. With regard to my mirror covers, they're on for life, it'll be impossible to remove them. I've driven my car on the freeway at 70 mph and the covers stayed on, they didn't move. Very happy with this tape.

Sent seemingly fake 3M with the yellow interior roll, have only just tried it now (after buying it a while ago) and it's awful. Nothing like the genuine 3M VHB that I have used in the past, does not match the product images and most importantly, does not stick well at all.
