I'm sorry they're not consistant.
I really depended on the thickness to be a consistent 4.76mm as stated but they are only about 40% of the time so I'm 60% disappointed. Edited and update;. The more I use them the less I find them to be thick enough. They are too thin to touch the walls of a 4.5mm air pistol barrel. For my application it was an expensive gamble that didn't pay off. Q tips are thicker.
