You do need to use either tazer, superchip or other guner to enable the cargo cam on uconnect 8.4. there was a delay in the enable that I didn't expect (12 hours) but full function afterwards! Install took me about an hour.
Review: Almost Good - Bought this on Prime Day for $80. It was way cheaper than the kit offered by Z Automotive. However, this kit does not include instructions, and the camera mount for the grill is a joke. I have a 2020 JT Gladiator. The only mounting hardware included with the camera kit is a plastic washer and nut. I was able to wedge it in, but the camera angle is way off (points too high and is not secure). Also, the video image flickers. Since no instructions were included, I used the ones for Z Automotive. I contacted the seller via desertcart requesting proper mounting hardware and instructions. They responded asking for a picture of the grill - which I sent, but no follow up. I gave it three stars for the low price and the convenience of not having to shop for individual components. I will have to rig up my own camera mount. Update 7-16-21: Added one star since seller contacted me and refunded $10 for issue with mounting. I made it fit by making a clip/bracket out of thin sheetmetal.

This product worked as advertised! Installed in 2018 wrangler JL. You do need to use either tazer, superchip or other guner to enable the cargo cam on uconnect 8.4. there was a delay in the enable that I didn't expect (12 hours) but full function afterwards! Install took me about an hour.

Bought this on Prime Day for $80. It was way cheaper than the kit offered by Z Automotive. However, this kit does not include instructions, and the camera mount for the grill is a joke. I have a 2020 JT Gladiator. The only mounting hardware included with the camera kit is a plastic washer and nut. I was able to wedge it in, but the camera angle is way off (points too high and is not secure). Also, the video image flickers. Since no instructions were included, I used the ones for Z Automotive. I contacted the seller via Amazon requesting proper mounting hardware and instructions. They responded asking for a picture of the grill - which I sent, but no follow up. I gave it three stars for the low price and the convenience of not having to shop for individual components. I will have to rig up my own camera mount. Update 7-16-21: Added one star since seller contacted me and refunded $10 for issue with mounting. I made it fit by making a clip/bracket out of thin sheetmetal.
