I wrenched my shoulder reaching behind my car seat to pick something up. I couldn’t reach above my head, or behind my back. After days and days of Advil, I finally tried the Recovery Wave. I used this device for several weeks, day and night and recovered my range of motion and eliminated my pain. The adhesive can be a bit sticky but you can rub it off like rubber cement if you are careful, or cover it with more tape.

Amazing for my back pain from an accident

Disclosure: I paid for this item in full from Amazon, but I was initially provided a sample of this through a sports organization. I liked the device and felt it worked well enough to purchase again and Amazon had a better price than the KT site (mostly due to shipping costs). Amazon, nor any of their sellers, did NOT provide a free or reduced cost sample. I was skeptical that around a piece of wire with a battery at one end would really do anything. I viewed it as a snake oil, but since I received a complementary sample I felt it was worth a shot and I really do feel it assisted with my pain. I have numerous painful orthopedic disabilities and skeptical about devices such as this. I’m glad I gave it a shot because I would say it reduces my chronic pain in whatever area I use it by about 35%. I felt that was effective enough to use it again and am planning on purchasing other units. The battery issue is discussed in many of these reviews. I share that issue as well. My bigger issue is the adhesive strips that are provided. They stick well, but can be quite uncomfortable to remove. Even more of an issue for me is the residue the adhesive strips leave on the loop. I used alcohol wipes and peroxide to try and remove the residue to no avail. Perhaps more scrubbing would remove the residue, but I fear too much pressure might cause damage to the wire and already had firm pressure on it when I was using the alcohol and peroxide. Upside: Nexcare Absolute Waterproof Tape works very well and does not leave a residue. It also moves with you if you use the loop in an area prone to flexing. I use this product in the evening and overnight and cannot speak to the ability to stick if wearing during a sweaty work out or in extremely humid conditions. The adhesive may be a better option under those conditions. The adhesive strips can be cut in half and found the smaller strips held just as well. From a production point of view, I wish they could sell this in a kit where you get two or three replacement batteries (or install a 500-750 hour life battery) and perhaps pay $20-25 more for it. It definitely would be more environmentally friendly in this manner. I’m sure the company can figure out how to make this a longer lasting product, but then their profits go down. I also wish there was a way the device could let you know you were down to your last 50 hours by changing the color of the light somehow. I can track 50 hours of use as it winds down, but not 250 hours of use. Overall, I’m glad I received a sample through the sports organization and clearly found it helpful enough to come here to Amazon to purchase one at regular price. I would recommend trying this if you have run out of other pain management options. Maybe it would be somewhat helpful, maybe not. But for about $30 I think it’s worth a shot.

I really wanted to like this, but sometimes it didn’t turn on and I would spend too much time fiddling with it to get it to work. Not worth the stress.

This is the same product that was sold as the Bioelectronics Acti-Patch PEMF - Pulsed ElectroMagnetic Field device. I have used these for five years, since breaking my back in 2016. Nothing's perfect, and no pain relief is instant, but I do get a deep tissue relief when I use this. And I start to feel chronic back aches if I go a week or two without it. The positive effect is of this device is subtle but pervasive. I use it in combination with OTC pain meds (+ CBD & THC) to avoid the perils of opioid pain management. But my "discomfort" (pain) is chronic, and long term use of the Acti-patch (now the KT Recovery+ Wave™ Electromagnetic Pain Relief Device) has had no bad side effects that I can detect. The elastic/velcro torso wrap that formerly came with the Acti-patch is not included in the new packaging. It was perfect for my use on my back, maybe that is something KT should consider offering in the future. The battery is not replaceable. When it dies you have to buy a whole new device. But with intermittent use, each device lasts a long time, months in my case. As Acti-Patch, the Bioelectronics Corp, used to claim the device was good for up to 720 hours. However, the new K-T version claims only 250 hours of therapy per device. K-T seems to be trying to squeeze more money out of the device. Recommending more usage with less battery time, makes this once affordable therapy much more costly. Corporate take-overs. Hmph! Never good for the consumer. This would have been a five-star review if K-T hadn't gone greedy.

Use this for myself and my dog (recommended by my dogs laser therapy person). He is almost 10 and in great shape, but had a previous injury and arthritis. This has been AMAZING. I started actually with him, and when i noticed a difference, I decided to buy one for myself. Yes, it actually works, idk how, but I love this thing and am so thankful my dog is back to running around like a puppy again! His laser therapy person taped it onto his collar. He wears the collar 8-10 hours/day, 5 days a week right now. It’s been almost 4 months of consistency. Yes, we are doing laser therapy as well, but we've been able to go from two week appointments to one every other month & I firmly believe it is because of this product. I have my own and use it as well and have personally found it to work well.

Good product, works well

I don’t know exactly how these loops work, but they sure do. I have one on right now. I’ve had a frozen shoulder for months. Any which way I try to move it, it’s unbelievably painful. I bought one of these for Christmas and was so impressed, I bought four more to have when this one dies. You don’t feel a thing - no heat, no tingling, nothing, which made me think it wasn’t working. However hours later I realized that for the first time in months, my shoulder was pain-free. Hours after I took it off I noticed that some pain and stiffness had returned so I put it on again the next day. After about a week of daily use, I can honestly say that my pain has reduced significantly to the point that I don’t need to wear it daily anymore, enabling me to use it on other areas of my body for pain relief. It’s fantastic and I highly recommend it! Great pain relief for the price!!

I have looked high and low for these I used to buy another brand but they stopped making them. Excellent pain relief not instant but you soon realise it’s working

I have tried many different devices for my pain. I wear this on my back everyday and I can feel the difference it makes to relieve the stiffness.

These are great for reducing pain and inflammation. They work quickly and are comfortable to wear under clothing. Similar tech to Actipatch which you can't get in Canada anymore.

Works after a while, wont see or feel any difference at first
