Outstanding value for money
I purchased the Yamaha FSX820C based on YouTube reviews from various sites. I wanted a slightly smaller and easier to play concert-sized guitar compared to my 45-year old Guild D40 dreadnought. I have been amazed at the value for money for this guitar. The sound quality is excellent and ease of play is fantastic right out of the box. The guitar is resonant, presumably due to the solid spruce top and scalloped bracing. I purchased the model with electronics, and when connected to my little Yamaha THR5A amp practice amp it sounds fantastic. In my opinion, you cannot go wrong purchasing this guitar. It truly is a great purchase for both beginners and seasoned guitarists alike.

Nice guitar, questionable finish.
I bought this as a relatively inexpensive acoustic guitar to get better at guitar playing and have no need/desire to be a rockstar. For the price it sounds great and has excellent value. That being said, the pick guard was not placed in the correct position and ruins the inlay around the sound hole. Unfortunately I have to look at it whenever I play or pick it up and it drives me crazy. I wish someone would have spent an extra 10 seconds to place the pick guard where it should be. Oh wellโฆ

OMG, I couldn't believe it when I saw the price, but after reading the reviews I decided to give it a try, and I am more than happy with this amazing guitar, this is my baby and I feel that the manufacturer made a perfect guitar. I always wanted a Yamaha acoustic guitar but I was tempted to get also the combo acoustic-electric (no experience before). Beautiful acoustic rich sound and well balanced tone. I think after researching for 2 weeks and reading reviews about acoustic-electric guitars, all road signs pointed to this amazing baby. You will be proud and happy to show this guitar and perform among your friends or family, it does the job for beginners or advanced guitarist.

I love it.
Worth every penny! Sounds deep and rich tone. Reminiscent of Slash's acoustic work in the Guns & Roses song "Patience". I did change the strings to a thinner gauge to make it easier to "bend" the notes.
