Everything does not cause cancer. I have a garden hose that's 100% safe to drink out of. I did get some questions answered last year by going to the Orbit web site and reading some of their stuff. **Q: How much water does this consume? I didn't see any gph rating to estimate required feed capacity but maybe I missed it. Thanks!** A: About 1/2 gallon per nozzle per hour. But it also depends on water pressure. I ran it all summer 10 hours a day and didn't notice it on the bill. **Q: Has anyone used this to mist a moss garden?** A: No I have not. I do have a moss garden and let it go dormant. It would work if your water is not so overly chlorinated I would think.
