Honestly, I bought a pair for my wife first since she works on her feet. When they arrived I looked at them and stood on them (without shoes) just to get an idea on what they are like. They seemed good, and my wife confirmed she liked them so I pulled the trigger and bought myself a pair. I have worn these for about a week now and love them. Are they the best thing out there? Probably not. Are they the solution for everybody? Probably not. But I do think they are probably the best over the counter item that you can buy and will probably help 90% of the people out there. All for a reasonable price. Support - These supports add a good amount of support, and hold my feet in a position that doesn't allow them to move in a way that will hurt my feet or ankles. They are very comfortable, and my lower back pain is lessened from the improved step. I would probably comment that I do feel them pressing on my arches, since I am flat footed. This can be uncomfortable after a while, but not worse than the typical foot pain I have without them, so the benefits far outweigh this issue. I would suspect if my arches were slightly higher (or the supports slightly lower) I wouldn't feel this at all. Sizing - I bought the Men's 10-10.5 sizing. I wear 10 or 10.5 depending on the cut of the shoe. Ironically, I just bought a paid of 11s just because the cut tapered in at the tip (which isn't good for my bunions) but in the 11 it fit well around my toes and the extra space in front doesn't alter my standing or stepping. The Pinnacles fit the size 11 shoes exactly.comparing the removed insoles to the Pinnacle they were a dead on match in size. That surprised me since I wouldn't have imagined that much extra material would be used, but at the end of the day it is a good thing, because they are pretty much guaranteed to fit your shoes - but also very likely you will need to trim them to fit. I will also comment that with the full length insert they recommend you remove the shoes existing insert first. This is a must as otherwise the shoe is too tight and cramped and just trades one problem for another. But actually replacing the insole is like converting your shoe into something new and better. I don't switch between shoes very often, but I can definitely see me buying a couple pairs of these and cutting them to fit ever shoe I own. It is well worth the investment. This product fell apart in a few weeks, and less than 200 miles where superfeet consistently last me around 500 miles. Superfeet also didn’t hurt my feel after 18-24 miles of walking a day, these hurt after a few hours. Superfeet are just very overpriced. **Q: What is the difference between the Pwrstep Pinnacle Max and the Pwrstep Unisex Pinnacle in Mens?** A: I believe their website mentions the Max has a 2 degree medial post. Before I put these insoles in the shoes, I was having a issues with nerve pain in my arches, hip abductors, and hip adductors due to the very poor arch support and shock absorption from the factory insoles. When I put the PowerStep insoles in the shoes, I immediately noticed a difference in arch support, and I no longer have any issues with nerve pain from wearing the shoes, even after longer, all-day sessions for hiking, hunting, birding, yardwork, etc. I would recommend introducing these gradually for an hour or two at a time on easy walks until your foot and gait can adjust to the arch support the insoles provide.
