**Q: What are the exact dimensions of the laptop area?**
A: I have the largest Dell Alienware laptop - 17.3 inch display about 1.7"x15.85" x12.5".  it fits . plus the power cord is thick and heavy which fits.  I also get an external DVD drive and optical mouse and pad.  Hope this helps

**Q: Will this accommdate a 17.3" laptop with dimensions of 16.25" wide x 11" deep ?**
A: Yes, it should.  The inside of the bag measures approximately 17 wide by 13 high.

**Q: would the asus g751jy fit in this bag with the charger and still have room for textbooks and such for high-school?**
A: It was a tight fit for computer but it will work. It seems to have plenty enough room for charger and a few other flat items.  Check one out at Office Max to see if it will work for you.
