02 May 2024 Update: Added two stars to my review after hearing from the manufacturer, apologizing for the mistake in the original description and making things right. They are a very reputable organization. Electric? No, and no batteries used. Instrument operation relies on the stored vacuum from the compressed bulb. Expelling liquid relies on gravity. This is just a fancy version of a standard laboratory bulb that can be had for less than half the price.

Review update: the company issued me a full refund without even asking which is why I am updating this review. The item did quit working almost immediately (see original review below) but, they made it right with a full refund. I am going to consider this one a fluke and would be willing to order from the company again Original review As the title says, the second day I was using this item it would no longer discharge the liquid. I took it apart and examined all of the components but I can no longer get it to work. I probably transferred 500ml using a 10ml serological pipette before it quite functioning

I had no idea what I pipette was before I bought this, it's great tool, makes mixing things easy and the blowout works great. I use 50ml pipes but only draw up to about 35 max and I have no problems using it, definitely saves time and allows for easy and high accuracy.

Kinda works... Easy to use if you can find the right fittings for it. I wanted it to hold chloroform in large volume pulls and it wouldn't hold the suction.

I like the manual pipette pump much better. This was nifty but I didn't find it practical

This thing works great and is so easy to use. Accepts multiple sizes of pipettes and makes getting an accurate fill a snap.
