This will be a much needed upgrade to replace my existing refugium and allow me more time to enjoy the tank and less time on maintenance! Be patient and spend a little time reading the instructions or watching the videos. I used Weldon 16 and not the Weldon 1 that is recommended just to have a little more control and work time. If I ever have to do this again, I would certainly try the weld-on 1 after practicing on a smaller project. Although the tank tested 100% water tight with no leaks after 3 days, I added a thin reinforcement of high quality clear silicone sealant on all critical seams for my own peace of mind. I then let it cure another couple days. Probably not necessary, but for another few dollars and 30 minutes, why not? It was really nice to be able to customize the design to fit my tank. By purchasing this kit, I saved money that I then used to purchase some additional enhancements and animals for my tank. The seller was very responsive and went beyond expectations when offering assistance. Highly Recommend this kit and this seller!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Saved a lot of money building this myself *by J***K on Reviewed in the United States on March 14, 2013* I'm a new to the aquarium hobby, and I just started my first tank about a month and a half ago. I purchased a sump a month and a half ago when I got my tank for around $200, and realized within a week that it was two small to hold everything I needed in it. Looking more into sumps I knew one that would be the size I needed would cost more than $200, but I than stumbled upon this. It was at least half the price of the pre-manufactured ones I was seeing, so I thought I'd give it a try. I had a few questions for the seller up front, and he was more than helpful, by giving me much more detailed explanations than what I was expecting. I also had questions after a purchased this refugium kit, and he was also very helpful with a quick response, and detailed answers, and he provided me with a copy of a book with detailed instructions. The only downside I'd have to say about it is that I wasn't aware of how to use the Weld-On adhesive that is used to put the kit together. Which is on me, not the seller. The Weld-On adhesive is not like glue, it is a chemical that melts the acrylic that the sump/refugium is made out of. As soon as the adhesive is applied it melts a very little bit of the acrylic, and you have a matter of a few seconds to put the two pieces of acrylic together before the melted part rehardens and they are stuck together. There are a few types of Weld-On, I initially used Weld-On 3, which is as liquid as water, and evaporates much quicker than water. So watch a few youtube videos and practice a little bit before. Because I only read about it prior to using Weldon 3 I thought I knew how to use it, but quickly found out I didn't. Now, after the fact, I understand it and would feel confident in building another. Weldon 16 is also usable, and it is much thicker than Weldon 3, I ended up getting this to fell the gaps that I missed with the Weldon 3, so in the end everything worked out great. Great deal and product, just make sure to study how to use Weld-On by reading up on it, looking at some videos (youtube) and practice on some cardboard or something. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Deal easy to build. *by J***C on Reviewed in the United States on March 31, 2015* This refugium is an excellent deal and it's easy to build. Took me about an hour just be careful with aligning the pieces correctly before applying the adhesive. This is a steal deal considering the price of a fully built refugium. I love how you can assign how much room you need in each compartment. If you have any questions wind rider creations will respond back right away he's extremely helpful.
