Review: Cute little "8-bit" bead projects, 6.5 year old boy loves - My son has voted these better than Qixels (if you know the product). From my point of view, Simbrix is at least a controlled cost because you can use the simbrix over and over again (my son goes through Qixel packages quite quickly....) He has been having fun making designs on the summer break. Also, Simbrix USA the vendor included some complimentary glow-in-the-dark simbrix which my son absolutely adored. He's been making cute little guys. The many different colors are nice. In terms of comparing simbrix with Perler beads, we don't do Perler beads in our house at all because I worry about having a hot iron out -- that would be a disaster waiting to happen around our house, it's always pretty busy here. You can make larger projects without worrying that someone will upset the tray, or they'll get knocked out of place. Also, with the simbrix you can update it later, i.e make the design have glow-in-the-dark eyes later. Review: My son loves these! - My 11 year old son loves these. We just got them today, and he has spent the last several hours playing with them. He had a couple of friends over earlier who also really enjoyed playing with them also. At barely over 1 penny a brick they are an amazing value. I wish my eyesight was better, because I'm sure I could enjoy building things with these also. The only sort of negative about these is that they are quite small, but that is also what helps to make them so cool.

Haven't had this much fun since legos
We got these after getting a minecraft crafting table set that used water to bond little cubes on a pegboard together. These are infinitely better. We haven't had this much fun since discovering legos. Awesome for recreating sprites from our favorite games. Great value too!

Fantastic product that is fun for all ages! A truly unique product that allows us all to tap into our imaginations and create!
Simbrix are FANTASTIC construction beads for the entire family! I purchased a Creator Kit from the initial Kickstarter and my kids (5 and 7 years old) absolutely LOVE them!! They are pretty fun for adults too! I can't recommend these more highly for anyone that wants a great craft/activity/toy for their kids that will allow them to tap into their creativity and imagination!!!

After having my eldest son try out Simbrix - he thoroughly enjoyed it. He just recently became a teenager and was bored of his lego sets. Simbrix has got him back into the grove, he thinks its a lot of fun and is looking forward to new releases.
