This was perfect!The opening stretches enough to fit around the foot without cutting off circulation and was long enough to cover mid instep. My foot is small, size 6, but the splints are pretty standard, so should fit anyone with a larger foot.The picture shows the actual width of the splint at the end and it’s a perfect fit. Highly recommended! Well made and a vet-owner company. Can’t go wrong.I would say this would be for indoor use as there is no grip material and it’s more of a fleece material. I am non weight bearing so of little consequence for me. It was warm enough to keep my toes warm in 30/40 degree weather.For me, I put on my sock, then this cover then my boot. I didn't want the cover getting dirty or go me to slip while wearing so I wore more like a sock then like a cap for my boot. Was very comfortable and warm! I faced the drawstring up to maximize comfort at the tightening piece.Only thing I don't have experience in is how the product holds up in "wet" conditions such as snow or rain.
