BOPai 24 inch Suction Cup Towel Bar – No Drill, for Smooth Surfaces Only, Chrome

I’m so surprised how well these work! Our new apartment oddly had no towel racks but we really didn’t want to bother with installing ones permanently since we’re renting. We have a large tiled portion of our bathroom and these stick to it perfectly! Only once did it get too much moisture behind it and slip a bit, but it’s quick and easy to reset and once in 5 months is totally fine. I’m pretty amazed by how good the suction power is—they feel very sturdy when attached. They also look exactly as pictures in terms of finish. For the price, totally worth the hassle to not install permanent fixtures!

There are a number of reviews stating that this does not work on drywall or surfaces other than bathroom tile/marble. Those reviews are somewhat correct, but not entirely... The uneven surface of drywall or something similar does prevent a good vacuum seal from being maintained. HOWEVER, the product does come with two 3M adhesive-backed, round discs that can be used to mount the towel bar to rougher surfaces like drywall. One side of the discs is the 3M adhesive, and the other side is a material (possibly silicone?) similar to the suction cups on the actual towel bar. I found it easiest to first remove the very thin, barely noticeable plastic film from both discs on the white silicone side. (Keep the 3M adhesive side covered for now.) Then, place those discs on a table with the exposed silicone surface facing up, and line up the towel bar's suction cups and engage them onto the discs while pressing down. Once the discs are now stuck to the towel bar, then remove the film on the 3M adhesive side of the discs. Finally, press the entire towel bar and discs assembly onto your drywall or surface. In my opinion, this was the easiest way to make sure the discs are aligned well with the towel bar. Apart from that, this towel bar appears elegant and well-made. It seems sturdy and I expect it to last a long time. I would highly recommend for those looking for a solution that does not require drilling holes into their wall. The 3M adhesive-backed discs may or may not affect the drywall over time, and getting them off will probably be a challenge, but I think this at least beats drilling holes into the wall.

The sturdiness of this bar was surprising. We have it attached on the inside of our porcelain tiled shower wall. I was worried it might fall off and chip our tile but it has strong suction. It holds two wet wash cloths with absolute ease and is super durable. The finish looks really nice as well. I would suggest to take it down and re-attach every 3 months or so just to make sure the suction hasn’t loosened. It’s easy to do this because it not only has suction cups but a little lever that moves up and down to add strength to the suction. Would definitely recommend.

Working great! Using on a cultured marble shower wall (very smooth) to hang up a 5 pound weighted shower mat for drying in between uses. Easy to install and move if necessary.

Was very happy to receive this beautiful towel bar as I do not have wall space for a traditional one. Placed it in the back of our large shower space according to directions. It worked well for about 6 months, then kept sliding off the wall. Then falling off the wall. I took it down and cleaned the wall with alcohol to remove any residue, and similarly the suction cups. Reinstalled. One of the suction cups disconnected from the wall without even a towel on the bar. Did this twice. Now I have an unusable towel bar. Not pleased.

I bought this in June 2025 and it fell for the first time 7 months later. I keep one thin and one medium thick towels on it. The product is well made and looks nice. I would buy again.

Fitted in my bathroom by the shower. Very easy to install and has brilliant adhesion, far superior to the one it replaced. It has a high chrome finish and looks very good. I am very impressed with it.
