The sword of Azrael unleashed! The urban jungle that is Gotham City is being torn apart by the war between Batman and the Joker―a war in which the difference between hero and villain has become impossibly blurred. Now, with his do-gooding Jack Napier personality submerged beneath an ascendant Clown Prince of Crime, the Joker is ready to take that war to the next level―and his army has a new recruit. Wielding a flaming sword and bearing the weight of hundreds of years of history on his shoulders, Azrael is a knight darker than any that Gotham has seen before. One by one, the Batman’s enemies will fall beneath his blade―and bit by bit, this new crusader will remake Gotham City into his own version of heaven on Earth. Only Batman and his estranged allies can stop him―but the distrust between them runs deep. And when the Joker and Azrael expose the hidden history of the Wayne family, all faith in the Dark Knight may be shattered for good. Acclaimed writer and artist Sean Murphy continues his thrilling and thought-provoking reimagining of the Batman mythos in Batman: Curse of the White Knight, a stunning sequel to his groundbreaking graphic novel Batman: White Knight . This volume collects all eight issues of the DC Black Label series as well as the Batman: White Knight Presents Von Freeze one-shot written by Murphy and illustrated by legendary comics artist Klaus Janson. Review: No more secrets - Wow!!!! I don't care if this is Else world, What if or Black label. This is right up there with my favourite Batman stories. It is not often that the sequel is even more epic than the original but this one manages it. If I had one complaint it is i want more!!!!! This story took me through every emotion imaginable. Great twist in the story. Usually I hate when main characters are killed off, but even this was done well and every death ment something. Slight spoiler NO ONE is safe or off limits. I love the artwork, and the story us just amazing. Incredible character development, every character is done incredibly well. In fact I I even look at the characters in a new light now. I am of two minds because as much as I loved this book and really want to know what happens next. I have no idea how this story could be topped I a sequel. This is as close to the perfect comic/book as I have read. Even the bonus material (bonus story) is incredible. Every chapter starts with a full page issues cover. The cover gallery at the end the book has full page art if the varient covers. This is a myst read for any Batman fan, comic fan, reader, or writer. If you are not a fan at the begining you will be by the end. Review: An incredible sequel! - Sequels are often never as good as the original. However this is not the case for curse of the white knight! I was gripped from the start! And oh boy is the art work absolutely beautiful! You get a real sense on this worlds Batman and Gotham. Sean Murphy has done it again and I for one hope that he goes for another book! This is a must read for anyone who loves Batman and the first novel!

Excellent sequel
So many "Elseworlds" or alternate universe books take a very straightforward approach and don't really explore much of anything beyond their premise. What I liked most about White Knight was that it didn't do that and rather tried to present a fully realised alternate world with slightly different versions of characters we know. That is continued with Curse of the White Knight, with more familiar heroes and villains appearing with somewhat unfamiliar characterisations that lead to drastically different events than in the main DC continuity. It's still novel and well thought-out, but perhaps with slightly fewer big ideas than the first book. I also really like Murphy's artstyle, which helps. I'm looking forward to reading the final installment of the trilogy. If you liked White Knight then there is really no reason not to pick up Curse of the White Knight. Conversely, if you haven't read White Knight, I would strongly recommend reading it before picking up this book.

Once again Joker strikes again or does he?
Another fantastic story, perfectly told through art and direction. Some really interesting exploring of certain characters and a profoundly bizarre ending that left me wondering about other implications and ideas.

Fantastic artwork. A story that is unpredictable and full of possibilities. Can't wait for part three of the saga.

Good, not ground breaking
One of the biggest challenges of this comic is that it follows a groundbreaking story that blew the doors of the industry. That’s a high bar to follow. It doesn’t hit as hard as White Knight, BUT it’s a great comic and well worth the read. SGM’s art continues to be incredible and the writing is good. Is it the most revolutionary thing that happened to Batman in decades? No. But it’s solid. The characters have two levels of intensity 1. Normal, mild 2. Anime screaming It’s a little jarring at times to read innocuous dialog said by a screaming head, but you get used to it. The story is fun, though I had trouble caring as much for the characters as I did in white knight. In general, it’s worth the read: great cars, fun story, action scenes, Batman grappling with who he is and SGM/Hollingsworth at the top of their game

Loved it! My favorite interpretation of Bats
Sean Gordon murphy’s art and entire interpretation of Gotham is majestic and stands out from countless others. The product itself was fine , good paper quality and it arrived completely untouched.

Excellent 2nd 'White Knight' GN!
An excellent follow-up to Batman: White Knight! While the 2nd volume doesn't have quite the same 'fresh' energy as the original story, the inclusion of Azrael & that bad-ass 90s Batman armored suit makes it a more than fair trade-off. The art continues to be top-notch, and the character designs & cover sketches at the back are a nice addition.
