I agree with the other reviewer. I'm not sure why the negative reviews.??? These are a nice creamy white color, with no black specks or imperfections as was stated by others. I even ordered mine from the warehouse deals. I love these dishes! They are just what I wanted. Square, but not to square. I will mention that the plates "seem" a bit smaller, as another reviewer mentioned. But it is because of the shape. When coming from round dinner plates, the square takes some getting used to. Just imagine that all four corners of your plates have been removed. Hence less eating space. Other than that, they are the same diameter. But I was looking for a nice clean look for plating appeal, with a slightly modern, edge. These fit the bill without being too harsh. Now my meals look like they just came off of the food network shows. It's amazing what difference plating can add to a meals appeal. The coffee mugs are very nice too. They fit perfectly in the hand and don't take up too much room in our cabinets. The bowls are different. Again, it's the shape that causes them to appear that you are getting a smaller bowl. But because the edges dip down a bit, I would not use them for everyday cereal, just because we tend to be messy. I saved some of my deeper bowls from a previous set for that. But for having dinner guests, and desserts, wow! They are really pretty and can make a bowl of fruit look completely elegant. As far as durability, they have a nice weight and feel to them. I'm pretty sure they will hold up to vigorous use. I have ran them through the dishwasher twice now. They came out clean, no stains. I was worried about that being white. Also, no knife cuts. I worried about steak knives leaving marks. If they do chip, at least it shouldn't be to visible being they are white. I had red plates for about five years and those looked horrible with even a tiny chip. Overall I highly recommend and am looking forward to entertaining in style now.

I absolutely love these dishes! So clean and sleek, light weight but not too light! I heated a bowl of soup in the micro for 2.5mins the bowl was not hot to the touch and the soup was heated perfectly! The mugs are so comfortable to drink out of- drinking coffee lead me to 3 cups!!! It was packed perfectly- not one chip! Arrived on time- what more can I ask for! They look gorgeous in my in cabinets!

Playes are okay just needed to be a little bigger! Overall the set is completely adequate for a small family!

Open right away. We were waiting until we had finished packing away other dishes to open, when we opened the box, a bowl and salad was broken. One bowl had an imperfection on the inside. Other than those, the pattern is beautiful.

I recently moved into a small apartment and needed smaller plates to fit into a smaller sized dishwasher. These fit the bill, with the dinner plates being about 9" in diameter. They also stack nicely and fit better on the shelf that I use to store my dishes. For the price they are a nice quality. I didn't realize it at the time I purchased this set that my old set is also Gibson. I've had that set for years and they've held up very nicely, but the dinner plates in the old set are 10.5" and don't fit in my little dishwasher, otherwise I'd still be using them. So my opinion is that Gibson makes good shizz.

I worried that the plates would be too cheaply made being that the price was rather low, but WOW. When we opened them I was shocked at how nice these are! The packaging looked really rough, so be warned, It came in a plain brown cardboard box and it was all wrapped safely, but presentation from the packaging gave me a bad feeling about the quality. However I was pleasantly surprised at what was received. The quality of the plate, the color, finish, and the over all style is amazing. Not just amazing for the price, but amazing in general. The mugs were also very nice, they are about 12 oz each, and a nice thick consistency, they do not feel flimsy and it does appear that they will last for a good long time. I gifted these and they were well received, I even showed up un announced a few days ago and found that they had been used during a nice dinner, so it was a successfull gift. A must buy for a nice housewarming gift or to update your dinnerware

Was wanting a change. These are so attractive. The dinner plates are on the small size but love the square shape. The bowls are perfect for cereal or salad. The cups are a nice shape and comfortable in my hands. Wash’s up well in the dishwasher.

Really like the design and they are sturdy.

I love the set I really like the shape.The set is good quality not chunky nice feel.The only problem is one of the mugs the handle is actually coming away from mug. I poured a coffee in and it leaked all over the countertop🙈I was lucky no one was burned!I am nervous of other mugs now🙈very disappointed 😩

Está muy elegante y el color está lindo pero se me hicieron muy frágiles ósea que si topa con algo ya se quebraron las esquinas,pues la tienes que lavar con mucho cuidado m, pero si se ve elegante para un desayuno o una cena con tus amigas
