John Deere 1/50 35G Excavator

I really like this model, it bears an uncanny resemblance to the real thing as is well made. In terms of detail it is somewhere between Ertl's normal offering and the high end brands but it is less than half of the price of the high end offerings. While it is certainly a collector's item for teens and adults this is clearly stated at the time of purchase. I bought it as a gift for a friend who's also in the road building space.

I'm sorry so many of you had a negative experience with this product? My 2nd one arrived today, and there were no issues with either. I purchased 1st one for a retirement gift. I liked it so much that I bought one for myself. These are highly detailed die cast models meant for display. I really like the articulation on them, but they ARE NOT toys. They should only be gently handled, and not actually played with. If you do, then yes, it will get destroyed, and you will indeed have wasted your money.

The machine is very detailed, maybe to much for small kids. quit fragile. Very nice detail.
