Does anyone know how to get the keyboard shortcuts to work on this keyboard?

Same question. Does anyone know how to get the keyboard shortcuts to work. Nice keyboard but this is a dealbreaker for me. Will have to return.

Why won’t the mouse stay together

When holding the mouse updside down, battery cover off, the battery on your left must be seated deep. Otherwise it bumps up just enough to keep the cover going back on. put the battery in and press down, notice it has some give ( spring) to it? when inserting the left battery you need to dig it in and slide it into position - takes a bit of practice but you'll get it

Is this rechargeable? Or requires batteries?

They require AA batteries. 2 for the mouse and 2 for the keyboard. Still using my first set that I put in 3 months ago.

Is it lightweight and macbook compliant?

Yes, they are lightweight and macbook compatible, being that they use bluetooth to connect to the laptop. Albeit, I wouldn't recommend this product. In less than a month, keys were falling off of the keyboard, and the track wheel on the mouse isn't working anymore.
