I started taking 4 biotin pills a day with 2 1000 mg pantothenic acid pills to offset the fact that biotin makes skin oilier and it causes acne for me. I was taking pantothenic acid prior to starting biotin so can confidently say the changes I've seen are attributable to this supplement. The pantothenic acid dries up sebaceous glands so no more acne issue, while the biotin still does its job of stopping hair loss. The difference in hair loss has been dramatic for me. In just two weeks time, I've started noticing only a couple of hairs in the drain versus a clump of hair which has been a consistent issue. The change may have been more immediate, but I wasn't actively looking for results, just saw the stark drop in hair loss.
