A couple days ago, I purchased 4 new blades, 2 - 1/2" blades and 2 - 3/16" blades. When they came in today's mail (on time), I installed one of the 1/8 " blades. After about a half hour of use, the blade broke, so I installed one of the 3/16" blades. That blade, too, broke after a half hour of use. Not only that, the paint that was on the blades went on the wood I was cutting. The blades also made a clicking sound (from the point where they were put together) while I was cutting my pieces. Previously, I ordered replacement blades from Craftsman/Sears, and NEVER HAD ANY OF THESE PROBLEMS! Each blade I purchased from Sears lasted almost an entire season! Sure wish I could get my money back for the useless Powertech blades! ### ⭐⭐ You get what you pay for - and that's not much *by J***C on Reviewed in the United States on October 24, 2020* I've broken 3 of these blades withing days of receiving them. Let's say the first two were my fault. I did not have my guides optimally set and did not realize that two of the lower guide bearings had seized. After the first two, I educated myself on optimal band saw tuning (from the master, Alex Snodgrass) and replaced the guides. Everything was set up perfectly. I cut 14 circles on day 1 on a jig; maple and oak. On day two, I started a free hand cut into soft cedar. SNAP! Not sure if it was a weak weld or resistance from the blade dulling too quickly. Either way, these blades just do no last. As another reviewer mentioned, I can hear the ticking from the weld when the blade is running. I didn't realize that was the blade and had tried to adjust my tuning to get rid of the ticking, which I now realize is impossible because the weld is too thick. I'd suggest you spend more and get more. I'm done with Powertec. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ecxellent get-it-done blade *by J***N on Reviewed in the United States on September 18, 2016* I'm running the blade on a 10" Rikon band saw which is identical to its Craftsman twin.Primarily cutting 1/4" to 3/4" Baltic birch plywood that typically results in heat build-up and blade failure.The low tpi count provides an excellent cut with minimal heat.Bottom line: highly recommend !!!I also liked the unmarked plastic bag, no-frills packaging.
