Excellent earbuds but beware of the white ones.
This is my third updated review of the Cambridge Audio Melomania 1+ earbuds, I originally gave them 3 stars and a rather disparaging review so I need to put the record straight. I bought them because they had been reduced to a giveaway price of £49.95 and had great reviews and this is my thoughts and impressions. They come lavishly packed which gives hope that they should be something special but first impressions were not that great. They come fitted with large memory foam ear tips which wouldn't even stay in my ears so I swapped them out for medium sized silicon tips. Playing tracks I knew from previous earbuds they sounded rather flat, lacking in bass and treble and any form of dynamics or excitement. It was difficult to keep a good seal in the ears with the silicon tips which didn't help matters. Replacing them with medium sized Memory Foam tips made a great improvement, it's imperative that you use Memory Foam tips with these earbuds, they provide a much better seal which improves the bass and overall sound quality, plus they are far more comfortable to wear. It's absolutely imperative that you download the app on Android or IOS to improve the sound and usability of these earbuds using the built in equaliser. At the risk of upsetting Cambridge Audio by changing the tuning of their earbuds, they need a quite generous bass and treble boost to get the best out of them. Fortunately this doesn't muddy or affect the superb midrange, it just gives them the the excitement and dynamics they are initially lacking. It's the typical V shaped frequency response that other earbuds offer straight out of the box, it's not an audiophile frequency response but it's the most pleasing to the human ear, or at least it is to mine. The picture is my equaliser settings. With the aid of the memory foam ear tips and a substantial lift in the bass and treble these earbuds now sound superb. IMPORTANT be advised that unless you insert the earbuds as deep into the ear canal as possible to provide a good airtight seal, you won't get the best sound out of them. Overall I'm now delighted I bought these earbuds and persevered to get the best out of them. At the reduced asking price they are an absolute bargain and I can't think of any other earbuds that I've tried that can deliver the sonic performance the Melomania 1+ do. I can highly recommend them providing you use Memory Foam tips and adjust the equaliser to your own personal preference. I can't stress enough the importance of getting a perfect seal between the earbuds and the ear canal, you won't get the bass extension and at worst they'll sound tinny and you'll end up hating them. Pushing and twisting earbuds deep into the ears can be uncomfortable and painful but that's the only way you'll hear the sound as it's meant to be and proves that earbuds should only be used for casual listening and not for long periods. It's pointless spending hundreds of pounds on earbuds, they're not designed for serious listening, best to spend the money on a decent pair of headphones and only use earbuds when out and about or for short periods. You won't get anything better than the Melomania 1+ at anywhere near this price point, I'm pretty sure of that. Update: BEWARE OF BUYING THE WHITE ONES ON A BLACK FRIDAY DEAL. I bought the white ones at a reduced Black Friday price and they were faulty, not charging fully and not turning on when taken out of the case. I returned them and bought another pair and they were exactly the same. I think that might be the reason they're so cheap!!!

Well worth the investment
I had been using a pair of wired earbuds (Nokia - they were always pretty decent) for years and was quite happy. My Galaxy Note 9 has a mini jack plug but going forward I knew that wireless was going to be the only option. I had been given Amazon vouchers for my birthday and decided I would treat myself to some wireless earbuds. The options available are ridiculous! I think I had about 20 different items saved to my compare list. I went from looking at the £30 range to £50 to then considering the £100 region. After much deliberation I was left with the Cambridge Audio, Lypertek and JBL. I am so glad that I chose the Cambridge Audio Melomania 1+ earbuds. I am writing this a week after purchase and the case has not left my pocket. The earbuds however have been in and out continuously. Opening up the case you find the buds solidly held inside by magnets. They light up straight away and by the time you have popped one in your ear you hear the welcome sound of "Melomania connected". The button controls are simple with Google Assistant available to action your requests - this does only work when you have paused your music though. I am blown away by the sound quality and coupled with my subscription to Deezer which provides HQ tracks and my phone which offers Dolby Atmos (to be fair I have no idea what this is) I am hearing elements of my music choices that have previously been lost to my ears. I chose the memory foam buds and these really work well. You can really ram them in and get a snug fit or they still stay in your ear when gently inserted. I don't fear them falling out at all. I have connected them to my phone, my laptop and even tried them out connected to the TV. All brilliant and completely removes me from the sounds of three children bickering. First couple of days I had the connection momentarily dropout on one ear whilst walking. I was slightly concerned and was going to contact the support. I did a quick google and found a Cambridge Audio page referring to the Touch model. In this it suggested choosing which bud to remove from the case first. With my phone in my left hand pocket I now take the left earbud out first and this is the first to then connect to the phone. I have had no dropouts since. Battery life is fantastic. I have only just run out of juice with the case after a week of solid use. I had read a review that mentioned the microphones not being great but have taken many calls on the phone and Whatsapp and those I have asked are impressed with the call quality. I do look for the L and R symbols though and aim to have these pointing towards my mouth. These are definitely going to get a lot of use and I feel like I have invested in high end equipment that will stand the test of time.

I want to love these, but they keep letting me down a bit
I bought the original for my son, and was quite jealous everytime I heard his buds. My last pair of headphones died so I decided to go for the melomanias, and to my delight found they had recently released the 1+, which has slightly better features, the main one being an app that allows for eq control, great stuff. The pros. As probably expected, the sound on th ese is exceptional for the price. Great bass, clear minds and top end, good sound stage, and they're loud without distortion. They're light and comfortable. I use them for general use and exercise and they do the job. One thing I have struggled with with bluetooth headphones in the past is sweat resistance, no problems here, so far. The app allows for personalisation of sound signature and isn't the most extensive range of eq, but is good enough. The app also shows battery level and allows control the codex of needed. Now the bad bit, which I don't want to admit, but feel I have to as I'm nearly at the point of giving up on the buds, but none of the following is enough to push me to return them..... Yet. Firstly, they don't always connect out of the case. I have fiddle about at times, switching them on or off to get a connection. Next, they sometimes cut out mid use for no reason, the sound comes back quickly afterwards, but still annoying. The sound sometimes moves around the sound stage, it goes from a fairly closed profile, to wide for no reason. The last point is the charging. You have to make sure the bud is positioned exactly in the case to get a connection. This means keeping them fairly clean to make sure nothing blocks the connection, like ear wax.... As said, these are fairly minor points, but for something that costs over 100 quid, you would think these were ironed out. If like me, sound quality is above all other aspects, and you can grit your teeth through minor issues, then go for these, you will not be disappointed. Otherwise, maybe look elsewhere

excellent sound; slightly tricky mechanics
The sound is excellent if the buds are properly mounted. It is advised to check several of the provided tips. If the fit is good external sounds are well suppressed and the bass is great. If one can hear the environment or the bass suddenly improves if one moves the buds in the ear, the fit can be made better. There is a good collection of tips provided. However, it seems I have an unnatural large right ear where it is tricky to get a good seal even with the large tips provided. It seems one can write to the company and ask for larger tips (not tried). The plugs are relatively large and even though I have relatively large ears it needed two weeks before they felt comfortable. They still occasionally hurt a bit after wearing more than an hour. They don't feel entirely transparent yet but sometimes feel like plugs in the ears (I guess that's what they are). Not sure if other brands' plugs' haptic experience is better. The plugs sit solidly in the ear. It should be possible to run or do medium exercise. One cannot sleep on them as they stick a bit out of the ear; it would cause pain or accidental activation of the active area on the plugs. Pairing and usage with a single device is easy and reliable. Usage with more than one device works, but connecting and disconnecting may need resetting of either the plugs or the devices. One can pair either the left or the right plug. I have not tested if that means on could use one each independently with two different devices. During use the plugs sometimes disconnected even if the connected device (smart phone) was close. As this happened when the head moved it was very likely due to the Bluetooth connection. rtings.com has a detailed comparison of the plugs with Sony WF1000XM3. The latter come out somewhat better but until recently also were significantly more expensive. 2 months in: I have to reduce the stars and would seriously not buy this product again - the fit gets better after some time, but for the first 4 weeks there was an uncomfortable pressure and sometimes pressure pain after an hour of wearing these. They still feel like something plugged into the ear; that's what they are, but even my cabled cheap Bluetooth earphones feel less present. - the right plug does only make a proper seal half the time, which is needed for good sound. - the foam piece on the right side is already breaking (after 2 months) , possibly as a consequence of repeatedly trying to get a good seal. - the Bluetooth connection breaks quite often when only moving the head, if connected to a smart phone less than half a meter away - even if these are paired with a single device only, and the device is not paired with anything else, reconnecting is not reliable. About half of the time I have to go into the smartphone settings and fix things by hand; sometimes I even have to reset the earplugs. If they work, they are fine. 20 Feb 2022 - two days or so after the above update, Amazon's web page started suggesting Foam Ear tips for 12£ a 3 pairs to me. Cambridge Audio (CA) is not on the list of supported ear buds for the suggested tips. Several Reviews mention that the CA ear buds have a non-standard size and CA said so too in some of their transmissions. The suggested 2£ a piece tips may therefore not fit. Perhaps Cambridge Audio can clarify? 18/02/23 As others have reported, the plugs can stick in the charger and then you have to use something pointy to get the in-ear rubber piece out of the charger. Happens more and more frequent to me. I start wondering what to do if the rubber piece gets stuck in my ears. The plugs don't switch on anymore. What an utter waste of money and time. I was very positive about this in the first place because the sound is good . That's the only good thing I can say about them. Down to 1 star. I am a physicist and computer science professor.

Best buds!
These Cambridge Audio Melomania 1+’s were my second option. I initially bought a set of Soundcore P3i earbuds, but returned them the next day as I couldn’t find a point wherein my ears were properly sealed, resulting in a tinny, weak sound. I tried all three silicon tips provided, but no option worked for me. This was a shame, as I love my Soundcore Q30 wireless over-ears, and was hoping that the P3i’s might deliver similar results. The Cambridge Melomania 1+’s are probably the best sounding in-ear buds I’ve had. I loved their sound straight out of the box - nice and balanced, with tight bass, smooth mids and clear treble. Nothing is overwhelming or harsh in terms of tone, and these buds offer great detail - with a nice, wide, airy presentation. I’ve rinsed them with everything: classical, old school drum ‘n’ bass, jazz, metal, reggae, rock and pop, and it all sounds great - they take everything in their stride. If you’re a basshead then you might want to look at other options, although I found the lower frequencies to be just right. Listening to a bass-heavy recording such as Lee Perry’s ‘Scratch The Super Ape’ or Massive Attack’s ‘Mezzanine’ still delivers the cavernous frequencies you’d expect. You get a load of earbud tips to try out - both silicon and foam - and I found that the large silicon options worked best for me, giving the tightest seal. The memory foam tips I found a bit hit and miss - I had to fiddle around to get a proper fit, and seemed to get different results each time. The buds aren’t noise cancelling and don’t claim to be, but do a pretty good job of blocking out surrounding noise. I would definitely say that the sound quality is very much dependent on finding the right bud tips, though - so play around with the options presented to find what works for you. You’re encouraged to download the Melomania app, which offers preset EQ settings (I found the default setting to be fine, but it was nice to have the option) and up to three of your own customised versions. It also gives an indication of battery life for each earbud. They don’t seem to drain battery equally, but this is normal apparently. The app itself is nicely presented and easy to navigate - but I’ve found it to be very buggy. I’ve had to force close and re-open the app a few times to get it to connect to the buds. In fact, the app is without a doubt the most buggy on my iPhone. This is a real shame. Cambridge, maybe think about your tech department! As a comparison, the Soundcore app I use with my Q30 cans has not given me any trouble whatsoever over the past two years. Each earbud contains a physical push button in the housing which enables you to play and pause music, skip back and forth through tracks, raise and lower volume, answer calls and summon your phone’s virtual assistant. This works very well, although I’ve seen that some folk complain that when adjusting the buds for the perfect fit, they’ve inadvertently pressed the buttons and skipped tracks or paused their music. This is easily done, but the app helpfully provides an option to disable use of the button for some - or all - functions, so that’s quite good. The Melomania buds themselves are housed in a diminutive and very smart-looking carry case when not in use, which doubles as a charging station. The battery life seems fine - I charge the case every week or so when one light out of five lights are showing on its battery indicator, based on around 3 hours of listening each day. This might not be as advertised, but is a decent amount of juice. In conclusion, I can’t see any reason not to give these earbuds full marks. The fact that they were initially on sale for £120, then £100, and now £50 (!?) is a no-brainer trial purchase at least. Even with the few small drawbacks, these are brilliant earphones. I would find it hard to believe that there’s a better option at this price.

Decent sound but only lasted 8 months
After years of using cheap(er) corded wirless headphones for running I was in need of an upgrade. If you're in the market for a new set of wireless earbuds the chances are you've done your research already, and these little 'bullets' rate highly on every website I came across, always in a top 5 spot for best earbuds in 2021/22. I'll be honest and say I really fancied the Sonys, but twice the price and didn't look practical for running, I decided to go for these. When I got them I was impressed with the quality and size, unlike most earbuds I'd seen that were bulky, these were small, bullet shaped earbuds. My immediate concern was losing them on a run, so I swapped out the traditional silicon tips for memory foam ones. So, about the memory foam tips, I've got mixed feelings about these. They are great for running in, and blocking out noise, while these earphones don't have ANC, the memory foam works a little like earplugs, expanding and filling the ear, blocking out unwanted noise. This is also a downside, as even when muted with these in its hard to hear anything, there is no sound 'passthrough' like you can get with some ANC headphones. That said, for running in, brilliant. I never once had an issue with these falling out and must have covered over 100 miles in them. However I did fine that when using them casually, the foam tips did cause some fatigue and discomfort on my ears. This was never noticeable on a run, probably because I was focused on something else then just listening. Unfortunately I never kept the silicon tips handy to swap them out. Setting up and connecting happened without a hitch, managed to pair them with my phone and Garmin watch without any real trouble once I'd gotten use to the sequence (open the case, check buds glowing, remove, pop in ears, play music on watch). I very rarely had any drop outs, but sometimes issues switching if I had my phone and watch on, so I'd just turn Bluetooth off on my phone. If for some reason they didn't seem to connect or turn on, I'd just reverse the sequence and try again (pop in case, wait for glow to show they were charging, close case and repeat) The sound quality from these is decent, I wasn't blown away but came through with clarity, not a huge amount of punch to the bass, but can see how that would be difficult to pull off with earbuds. For the best sound with the foam tips, I did find I needed to let a little 'air' through, so not completely sealed to get a good sound without feeling like I had a headcold. The app was forgettable, some EQ settings and the usual pairing and battery life info, but once set up I didn't really use it. The button controls on the buds (pause, skip, volume etc) worked really well. I didn't find myself forcing them back into my ears as I changed tracks, so I'd say the right amount of pressure/resistance. So, had it not been for the left bud failing after 8 months, I'd probably still be happily running around with these in. As standard Amazon were great at helping me out with the issue but I ended up returning them and if it hadn't been for a botched delivery on a replacement pair, I'd probably still be wearing these, just a new pair. But in the end I tried a pair of JayBirds Visita 2s (since returned as well, but due to compatibly with Garmin), and having tried them I realise the sound quality on these wasn't as good. So in the end I feel overall these are a 4 star set of earbuds (especially for runners) but let down by failing after 8 months. Therefore 3 stars. Get lucky with a pair that last for years and they are well worth the price. Shame as I did enjoy my time with them.

Very pleased with these!
I was on the lookout for a new pair of buds. Had been using the MiFo ones for about three years, fit was good but found them finicky to use and would encounter drop outs that sometimes wouldn’t recover and would need to be placed back in their case to re-pair - which is a heavy, chunky beast to take on a walk or run. I’ve always been intrigued by the Melomania ones from Cambridge Audio. Very familiar with their hifi components. Finally decided to give the newer Plus versions a try as heavily discounted now. My typical use for these is walking and some running with an Apple Watch as the sound source. I really like these a lot. Firstly, they fit fine. I use the foam tips and while a bit of trial and error to get the fit right I now have it down. Just need to experiment a bit. They stay in and while at first I’d sometimes get a scratchy ear canal after an hour they didn’t cause me any discomfort that some have reported. Actually, after using them for awhile now, I can’t say I’ve experienced the scratchy ear canal issue anymore. I love the hard buttons on these. I’d have to use the Apple Watch in the past with the MiFo buds to skip tracks forward and back and adjust volume simply because the hard button on the buds were too tiny and not very intuitive to use in reality. The buttons on the Melomanias are very intuitive and after once or twice of real-world usage they became second nature. Others have complained that when using the buttons they disrupt the seal or fit, or hurt because you end up pressing them further into the ears. I didn’t find this a big deal, honestly, and developed a technique to press the buttons that didn’t result in jamming them in your ears. Just be light, and support the back of your ear with your thumb, no need to press too hard. The only caveat is that sometimes I’d want to skip a track and when I went to double-tap while moving I might not get the second tap right and end up doing a single tap which would pause it. Simply press again to unpause and try again. Having these physical buttons also means I can use them with gloves in colder weather, unlike the touch sensitive type burrows s on some buds. The sound is fantastic! I’m an audio guy so good sound is important- even though I’m not so picky about it when doing physical activity. But these tick all the boxes - great sound in conjunction with the ability to do physical activity with them on. The sound is on the polite side so I did my own EQ on them with the available app which helped especially with my ageing and abused ears. This was mainly boosting a bit of the mids and highs. Which brings me to another great feature - the EQ profile stays saved on the buds - not necessary to have the phone/app around to use the EQ profile - unless you wish to change it later. The bass is more than adequate for me especially when I have good seal with the foam tips. I found I didn’t need to boost the bass at all. The case - wow. Such a simple thing to like about these but I’m impressed. The case is small and light but holds more than enough charge. I went away for two days and forget the charging cable. After using the buds for two long train journeys, sitting in stations, walks and at night in bed they were still adequately charged and the case still had plenty of power in reserve when I arrived home. The small form factor of the case makes it so I could bring it with me on a walk or run if I wished in the limited available pockets on activity clothing in the summer and never feel bogged down by something heavy or the feeling of carrying something lumpy around. I can put it in a backpack and if I need to feel around for it amongst all sorts of other things it is easily recognisable despite its small size by feel because of it's unique shape. There’s an area where I walk and run where I always get Bluetooth dropouts with any wireless buds or headphones. With the MiFos I’d get the drop out and 50 percent of the time they would either recover or just end up dropping connection permanently.. This meant carrying the heavy case around to resync them (not happening), go on with my activity with no music or go back home to resync them with the case. I’d never know - it was a gamble. With the Melomanias I’d still get the connection dropping in this area but they ALWAYS recovered 100 percent of the time. I could rely on them reconnecting with the Apple watch after the connection dropped. No worries! All in all, I’m very pleased with the Melomanias. I’d definitely buy these again in a heartbeat if lost, not a second thought of anything else. At the current price they are a huge bargain.

When will someone make a reliable pair of bluetooth earphones?
I've used and tested several high-quality earphones and headphones over the years. In this price range, I'm pretty disappointed by the lack of features. The inability to switch between bluetooth devices is a pain in the arse. I might be working, listening to music on my laptop. Then I get a call, there's no quick way to connect to my other device. I first have to disconnect from my mac, then connect to my phone. The case is poorly designed. I have medium/small sized hands and I struggle to pull the earphones out of the case sometimes. There's no physical way to identify left from right. Most earphones will have a braille style bump on one or the other. The left slot in the case is indented at the bottom. If you use the Memory Foam earbuds at any size other than small, the indent will begin to rip the memory foam. This ruined 2 pairs of the provided memory foam earbuds, I had to change over to the rubber earbuds which aren't as good for my ears. The audio quality is great, but you can only change the settings on your phone. If I'm connected to my mac, there's no way to equalize the audio, like I can through the Melomania app on the phone. For the money, they're pretty shocking. They feel like they're still being designed and they're not at a final stage yet. Still so much room for improvement. Only good thing about these is the audio quality. And to top it all off, after 7 months my battery in both earbuds has failed. I'm a developer and pretty technically sound and have tried every solution suggested that I could find. I'm now stuck without earphones whilst I go through the warranty process... EDIT: Okay, my original review was pretty harsh. I discussed with Cambridge Audio and got a replacement pair under warranty. This pair appears to be new iteration as the case is slightly different material and they overall feel slightly higher-quality. I still suffer from connection issues/earbuds randomly dying and having to be reset occasionally. It's a pain, but not the end of the world. My review remains the same. Even on this iteration (they are definitely different to my original pair as I still have them), they feel like they're lacking too many features to warrant the asking price. The audio is admittedly great, but they lack in every other area. I no longer suffer from the ripping of the earbuds by the case, so that's an improvement there. There's no app for Mac still, which is my primary device I use these on, so there's no way to adjust the equaliser. The earbuds desperately need a bump to identify left from right in the dark. Some times I genuinely have to turn on a light just to identify which one is which. The earbud shape is also pretty poorly designed. They fit and feel fine in the ear, but handling in your hands, there's no grip to them, no shape or stable place to hold. As I previously said, for a guy I do have really small hands, pretty often smaller than many women I've met, but I struggle and fumble with these. If you're someone with big hands, these are not for you. I'd highly suggest waiting for a new iteration of these. In their current state, they sound great but are super annoying to use on a daily basis due to these little niggling issues that extrapolate in to frustration pretty quickly when using on a daily basis. Much of which comes down to the shape of these. The amount of times I've dropped them and put them in the wrong ear, I mean it's multiple times a day, there's clearly an issue with the design of these.

Question de morphologie !? (même chose quand on mange).

Mycket trevligt engelsk ljudbild.

The best $139 you can spend on ear buds. ***Update***
Hello Melomania 1+! Yes!! Okay so I am an avid ear bud guy and I own or have owned pretty much every relevant ear bud released in the last few years. I am looking for the perfect bud and will try to stop as soon as I find it. The ones I haven't owned were the first Melomania 1 buds. The reason was simple; in spite of the great reviews, I hated the look of the the buds themselves. They were like Frankenstein pegs jetting out of your ears. Cambridge Audio is an old British company. They specialize in high end audio and claim to just be music fans that design great stuff for fellow music fans. I believe them. When I saw these being released, in spite of keeping this same design, I finally caved. I had to know. I am glad I did. I finally get it but they are not perfect and my design concerns were spot on. So, with all of that, here is the breakdown of the good and bad. Though be warned, there isn't much bad. The Good: -Sound: It starts here as sound is where it all happens. If they don't sound good, what's the point? These sound absolutely amazing. When compared to the Jabra 85t's, the latest Bose QuietComfort's, the Samsung Buds Pros, the Klipsch T5 II's, and the Airpod Pros, these are right up there if not better than all of them. They have a surprisingly wide stage. Solid lows, full mids, and crisp punchy highs. There is virtually zero audio lag when watching videos. Further CA supports a number of Codecs here including AptX and AAC so both Android and iOS users can get the most out of them. I was concerned that a single 5.6mm driver could be good. Rest assured, it is. These are natural sounding so bass heads might be a little bummed but I cannot imagine that many folks will be unhappy here. -The Case: Maybe the most underappreciated part of ear buds in my opinion as that is what you have to carry everyday. This case is solid gold. The buds lock in tight. You kind of have to twist them in as they seat in a specific way to charge but, once in, they aren't going anywhere. It is slim and easy on the pocket. The top almost slams shut, the magnets are so strong. One upgrade from the originals is USBC charging. Great addition! Further, the case packs 4 additional charges from the 8 or 9 hours the buds pack. Brilliant! The only downside is no wireless charging but with nearly 45 hours of total battery life on a full charge, I just don't miss that here. -The App: Another big win here is the Melomania app. It is just slick. You can remap buttons, update the buds, adjust the EQ, and more. Plus, it is very polished. Really well done. I cannot tell you how many apps out there could learn from CA here. -Intangibles: 2nd Gen Bluetooth 5.0 for easy pairing and a super stable connection. You can use either bud independently. Your content will autopause if you pull out a bud. Just so much good. The Bad: -Form Factor: So I hate the peg design. They give you both silicone and Comfort moldable tips which helps. I would highly recommend the Comfort tips as they really make things more stable but it just can only do so much with buds that hang out of your ears like this. I will point out that CA did a lot to take weight out of these. The originals Melomania 1's each weighed 9.2g. These are 50% lighter at 4.6g. Well done. They have really cool circular lights that subtly glow when in use. I just cannot get past the design though. CA is on to something here but they need to make these smaller for me anyways. -Missing Items: There is no ANC here. Most high end buds have this these days but CA isn't charging high end prices. They are just giving you high end buds so this omission works fine here. There is no transparency mode or ability to hear your surroundings other than removing a bud. Not the best. -Call Quality: Not great but not horrible. Just make sure the mics are twisted down and you will have decent calls. CA put a small dimple on the side of the buds that sits just above the mics. Just feel for it and make sure it is pointing down or, better yet, slightly angled towards your mouth for best results. There are many ear buds that are much better in this department but these aren't unusable. Conclusion: So when it comes to ear buds, I am not often left at a loss for words but I almost am here. What CA has managed to accomplish for $139 should make all of us almost wonder why on earth we have considered spending so much more in the past. Almost. The big posts sticking out of your ears is still a problem. However, when you look at the field of competitors, hear these things in action, and consider all that these give you for the price tag, I just don't know that there is a better all around value in the ear bud space at this time. Yes, for $200, I sill take my Jabra 85t's and Galaxy Pros over these. Yes, for $279, the Bose are better. At $139 though, if sound and music is the driving force, buy these. They are awesome. ***Update***Okay, I had to wait for this review to post so I could add something I discovered in terms of fit. I went down to the smallest silicone tip they offer, which I never do, but that allows the buds to sit a little deeper in my ears. Still secure and still sound amazing. Further, they don't stick out of your ears quite as much. After just about a week here, I am still very happy. They are my current daily drivers. Oh, one other side note. I am not sure I gave Cambridge Audio full credit for how well these are made. The fit and finish of the entire set up from case to ear buds is outstanding. Very well engineered! Cheers to the team at CA! Buy with absolute confidence. One more additional thought. Was on the phone today with a friend that was testing out the new Master & Dynamic MW08 (mine are coming soon I hope) and I had one of these in my left ear. He sounded great. Half way through he pulled his new buds and put me on his phone. Two minutes later he asked what I was using and I told him I was using the Melomania buds in my left ear. He said I sounded perfect. I was at work and had a lot of noise around me. They may be better at calls than I thought. Solid. Okay, one last thing...I promise! I have been testing both the new Master & Dynamic MW08's and the new Bowers & Wilkins PI7'S buds. It has been about a month since I have used these Melomania buds. I fired them up today and just am more impressed than ever. These should get absolutely smoked by the respective $300 and $400 buds. They aren't at least with sound. The others both offer more features and sound better butbit is marginal. These are a steal. Unreal Melomania!

Zeer tevreden
Daarna snelle connectie. Kleine opberghouder waarmee kan worden opgeladen. Handig en goede batterijduur. Houder wordt via USB-C opgeladen.
