**Q: Is there a return period for this item if it does not fix the problem I've been having?**
A: Installed and electrical parts usually dont get covered under return policies but this is amazon so take that for whatever its worth. Youre better off getting the problem diagnosed then getting the correct fix instead of throwing parts at the problem

**Q: Will this fit 2016 ford explorer limited?**
A: This fits 2011-2016 Explorer for main recirculation. There are also an auxiliary unit, YH1889. Not sure which one you are looking for.

**Q: Will this fit a 2009 Ford Flex Limited with dual control hvac?**
A: You have to realize that the dual-control cars have 4 of these and at least 2 of them are this model.  This will fit the one that controls the temp and the one that controls the passenger temp.  I don't know about the other 2 because...they have not broken yet.

This worked perfectly to solve the issue I was having. The dealer said over the phone it was cost between $300-$500 to fix the issue, not including parts (They probably want and additional $40 for this same product). My problem was with the passenger side HVAC. It was only blowing out cold air and was a safety issue as the passenger side window would stay fogged up with the defroster blowing out cold air. I did a quick youtube search to see how hard replacing the part my self was and that lead me to this part number. To replace this part, you have to remove the glove compartment and its housing that sound like a lot of work but was fairly easy to do. Had it open in about 15 minutes because I was cautious, more so than I needed to be, because the clips were pretty strong and well designed. It only took me another minute or so to get one of the screws out, but then started the hard part. In the tight space the screw on the back left litter room to get a ratchet in and crank it normally. I had to remove the screw one click at a time and busted my knuckles doing so. Even though it took some time, I did not have much trouble getting it out. Removing the wire harness connected to the old actuator was not too bad, but finagling it in the new one was a bit of a pain. Lining up the post also took more time than I though it would as it only goes in a certain way and then you have to line up the screw holes. As you would imagine the front screw was easy, but the on in the back again turned out to be extremely troublesome. All in all it took me a good 2 hours, but I think saving me the $500 dealer charge was worth it.
