Honestly, I bought this for my brother who loves it! It’s his favorite manual can opener and it works even on the really wide cans. There’s never been an issue getting a can open with this can opener. Now I’m gonna buy one for myself because it’s my favorite now too!

The unit replaced one that simply wore out after several years of use. It is easy to attach onto cans, and the large handle allows for easy turning. It is able to be cleaned thoroughly as well after use. I found the quality of the unit to be very solid, the weight is good and the lids comes off smoothly every time.

Works very well. Handle is comfortable to hold. Wound purchase again.

This is nice and sturdy with a rounded grip so you don't hurt your fingers. It opens cans easily and glides around the can with ease. I would recommend this product.

Boy did this new can opener prove me wrong. I can not believe how easy it opens cans. I've started using it to open those dangerous pop top cans. A great can opener, I'm buying one for people for Christmas.

5 years on and it still works perfectly

I've owned this OXO can opener for over a year and it's still going strong: durable, sturdy, sharp, and opening cans fast and easy. I use it to open all types of canned food: vegetable, beans, fruits, tuna, spam, etc. and it removes the lid with ease: clean cut with no sharp or jagged edges. Safe for kids to use too. It is also lightweight, not heavy to hold and a good size, handles are easy to grip by me and my wife with smaller hands and the knob is big and easy to twist. However, it doesn't have a magnet but that would be a nice addition so it can connect onto the lid easier, but it's not needed. Overall, it is worth the 14 dollars and will last me a long time, hoping to pass it down the generations.

Such a good peeler it's so sharp you have to be careful as it did cut top of my nail off but wouldn't be without it, the can opener is taking me awhile to get used to it but that might be my arthritis hands.

This is the favourite can opener in our house and the only kind I ever buy now. Points to consider: 1) I have lots of experience with can openers turning rusty after a few months of usage – not this one. It works well for years and is very reliable. 2) Other can openers get yucky grime caught in the gears but not this one. I put it in the dishwasher all the time and it shows no signs of wear. Other can openers have been ruined in the dishwasher – but not this one. 3) It is lightweight while still being strong, and the large knob is easy to turn even for kids. The handles are comfortable to hold. I can tell it is well designed and constructed with quality. It grips the cans tightly and cuts through the metal easily. 4) It even has a bonus bottle opener. So many things in life can be hard – OXO Good Grips Can Opener, I am glad that you don't have to be one of them.
