Everything was going along fine using these for my regular data backups until....I put one of these thumb drives in my pocket and forgot about it, and sent it through the clothes washer and also put it into the dryer and "dried" it. I heard the clacking around in the dryer and...there it was. And when I took it out of the dryer, it was HOT. Then when pushed the other way the Type A connector is revealed. **Q: Is there a way to attach this to your key chain?** A: There is a tiny cutout on the rear which presumably is intended for a (thin) keychain or thread loop. But it's so small as to be useless in most cases; I have a lanyard clip attachment with super thin bungee cord to thread onto things like this, and it doesn't fit. I tried to attach the very small split ring from my Swiss Army knife on it, and it was pretty much impossible. You will be hard-pressed to find something which can attach to this. It makes me regret picking this model, as I personally need something that can be clipped on and off from a lanyard. **Q: Will this lock (with a click) in the center, closed position?** A: Yes, but it doesn't lock outside of the center very well, I have to hold it from moving to put it into the usb port. **Q: Will this flash drive fit side by side next to the power cable on a late 2016 MBP?
