Very well made and easy to use - Saved the day already
The packaging of this spare kit is really nicely thought out. The spare comes in a nice and durable carry bag with all the components strapped inside the tire. The spare being alloy is also lighter than a steel spare tire would be. As luck would have it, our 2024 CRV Hybrid with 400 miles on it found a nail at 11:30pm inside a packed parking garage. The tire exploded so violently that it nearly came off the rim. Most critically, with the tire bead separated from the rim, there was no way the Honda provided foam/pump would work. My wife called me and I came with this spare kit to test it out. The jack provided is nice in that it has a 17mm nut which means I was able to use a power drill to slowly raise and lower the jack, bypassing the provided ratcheting handle. Fully extended to the dead stop, the jack is "just" tall enough on level ground to get the tires on and off an AWD Hybrid. Parked on the side of the road or in a less than ideal location, the jack could be just short. Thus, my one critique for the CRV is that the jack could be a little taller. Also, the jack was not properly lubricated when it arrived either. I have since lubricated the worm gear with lithium grease. I did not use the other provided tools, but they appear to be nice quality though. Once the spare tire was mounted, I drove about 10 miles home with the spare on a front tire. Steering and breaking were a bit impacted, as you would expect with a temporary spare. Though, the CRV did not complain about the brakes, the tires, or another condition when driven on the spare. Overall, I am grateful that I had the spare as it saved a sure tow bill. We will most definitely carry the spare when traveling through places one would not want to be stranded on the side of the road. The kit comes with everything you need to get the job done quickly and safely. Other than minor gripes about the jack, the kit is exceptional.

Everything needed is in the kit
This is a very well constructed spare tire. Everything you need ( except the elbow grease) is in the kit. This is a nice to have item when driving locally, but itโs imperative, if youโre going on a road trip. Itโs one of those things that may be pricey to purchase, but itโs worth its weight in gold if you have a flat 100 miles from home. Keep in mind that road services, wonโt have your tire mounted, and ready to go, so they will tow you to a repair facility. Hopefully, itโs not a weekend or a holiday!!! For me, itโs simple piece of mind.

Product Lessens Road Trip Anxiety Creates Peace of Mind
The product appears to be of good quality. Only time will tell if and I hope I never have to use it performs as advertised. My biggest disappointment besides the fact that Honda failed to make a vehicle that would accommodate a spare tire is the loss of storage space in the rear of my vehicle. I will give them a gold star for being thorough in providing accessories especially the removal tool for lug nut covers. Attention to detail that I really appreciate. All in all with the exception of the size of the total product kit I think it a worthwhile investment in peace of mind especially in a longer road trip.

Nice Tire
My 2026 CRV did not come with a spare tire, nor did it have room for it. I do not want to be stranded without a spare, and I do not trust the 'fix a flat kit' Honda provided me. This Modern Spare tire was the solution for me. It is well made, comes with a jack, lug nuts and a tire cover. I laid it down in the cargo area of my CRV and I covered it with plywood covered with car carpeting and ties down with cargo straps. I have not used the tire yet, but I am ready in the event of a flat when in the middle of nowhere.

Perfect Answer for Cars without a Spare
I was so worried about traveling all the miles I travel in Mexico's Sonora State. A blowout could be castistrophic and delay me two days. I did a lot of deep research on a tire for my 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid with 19" wheels. This tire is not like the little temporary tires. I can drive safely until I can get repairs. The tire and tools are of high quality. The car came with a leak stopper, gunk, and a tire pump. If you put the "gunk" in your tire, there is no promise it will stop the leak and might destroy the tire for future repair.

Good Quality
Good quality wheel and tire. Mounted on front of 2026 CRV Hybrid, it cleared brakes with no problem. Bought package with cover and jack. They seem fine as well. The wheel and tire are larger (wider) than i thought. CRV Hybrid has 21" wheels with something like a 32inch total width with tire. It takes up some room in the rear hatch area. I will accept that vs being broke down on a trip with no spare (been there)..

A Quality Product - Well Designed and Made (I Stole this headline from someone above)
The headline says it all. I am absolutely satisfied with this Spare Tire Kit. I have a 2021 CR-V Hybrid. I have used it twice within the first few months of owning. Most of the time I do not the luxury to sit at the tire store waiting for a tire to be patched. So I put the spare on and drop the punctured tire off and pick it up later in the day once it is patched. The jack, ratchet, and all other equipment that come in the kit are heavy duty, great quality, and so well designed. SO MUCH better than ANY OEM spare tire equipment I have EVER used. The pouch that comes with it is heavy duty fabric and a strong handle. It very easy to slide around in the back of my CR-V because it is in this case. Honda should have a spare tire accessory that you can order, but since they do not This Company & Product has definitely filled the void. The only inconvenience is that Honda did not allocate a location for a spare to reside (the 2003 CR-V was ideal with the spare holder located on the back door). I will definitely buy again if the vehicle I am purchasing does not come with a spare. Awesome product!

It's Almost a 5 Star Product
I got the full kit with the fabric tire tote, and the jack and lug wrench. Remember, if your car doesn't come with a spare tire then it almost certainly does not have a jack, or a lug wrench! I did a test installation of the spare to make sure I received the correct version. I did this in my garage on a flat, level, smooth concrete floor--the easiest surface on which to install the spare. It's not too difficult, but not as easy as mounting the factory wheel-tire. The spare fits and it's reasonably light. All the included accessories work, but there are some difficulties to overcome. First, the spare wheel is drilled with ten holes for the mounting studs, even though your hub has only five studs. This makes it possible for the wheel to fit two different cars/hubs. You have to align the correct set of holes with your studs and there's no indication which five holes fit your car. This was not too difficult in my flat-floored, well-lit garage, but I'm not looking forward to mounting the spare on the uneven shoulder of some road on a dark night. Second, as others have mentioned, the design of the jack and ratchet forces the (very easy to operate) ratchet wrench for the jack to be very (Very!) close to the side of your car. This means that you can swing the ratchet only about 90 degrees per stroke and that you might bust your knuckles on the side of your car if you're not cautious. Third, you're gonna want to make a little wooden platform about two inches thick to place under the jack. This is going to get your car off the ground much more quickly, save your about 100 swings of the ratchet, and spread your car's weight over a larger area which will be very helpful if you're jacking on softer ground. Fourth, despite the fact that the spare is lighter and easier to wrangle than the stock wheel, and that the wide openings between the spokes make it easier to manipulate, it is still noticeably more difficult to orient and align with the studs than the stock wheel. I can't see how this was the case, but it was. Fifth, my recommendation is that you A) read all the downloadable, online instructions for the spare and that you, B) practice installing it BEFORE you need to install it! Sixth, if you don't already have a flashlight in your car, add one to your kit, NOW. You're gonna want that light when you have to install this spare on a dark and stormy night! None of these complaints are deal breakers. It's just stuff you need to know before you need to install this spare in real life. PS: Where are you going to put it? It's not small. You can put it in your car, but it's going to eat a lot of cargo volume. We are thinking of adding a receiver hitch and a plug-in tire mount. These additional accessories mean another $1,300-ish on top of the $500-ish that we paid for the spare. With our annual mileage it will take about eight years of the fuel savings we get from having the hybrid to pay for the spare tire that would have come as standard equipment with the conventional, non-hybrid version of our car. Something to think about if you haven't yet bought that spareless hybrid!
