I can pull the pencil thing down but no lead comes out? How can I make the lead come out

For this multi, you do not press on the top end like most pens. You press on the clip that you used to bring down the pencil.

Is the lead used in the pencil #2?

You can use any hardness of led you choose. They come in different widths (this pencil is 0.5) and different hardnesses (2H, H, HB, B, 2B, etc). I believe whatever comes in this is at least "HB" (#2) because the led doesn't break so easily and creates a medium dark color.

How do you refill the lead?

I unscrew the pen and then there should be a clear tube with a spring and metal and the end. Pull the metal part off and then insert the lead. Hope this helps
