I bought this lamp in August 2021. It is now March 2026 and I had to come back to write a review. This thing has been through the trenches with me (5 moves, 3 relationships, daily use, and general age). Has never once lost any brightness or failed. Three options for lighting, very bright. I bought this for portrait drawing originally, since I needed something really bright. This now operates as a sort of ring light for me, but works either way for sure. The neck is super bendy and flexible. Super easy to set up, the clamp is very strong and is good on about a 1-1.5” deep surface. I love this thing and needed to come show my appreciation for it lol.

This lamp works well. The lamp is very stable, however, when you adjust the gooseneck, you need to stabilize the clamp to the surface is clamp to. There is no flickering noted and I very much enjoy the different levels of light. I have difficulty seeing at night to do my crafts and this is a game changer for me. Especially with dark colors, which I could never see before. The lamp has a nice look is not large in size, so it’s not to get in your way when trying to see things.

Overall, this light is excellent for nighttime sewing, or when you need a spot of extra light for a project. The arm seems to be long enough to reach around the chair when I’m sitting down. I wish it had more of a remote switch on the cord somewhere or even on the base to control the settings, but on the other hand, if it did, I suppose it would be harder to reach to change the settings when you were sitting down. It’s all going to come down to personal preference of the user. Different light levels, and on-off are simply a touch function on the top of the light, which I suppose is also convenient, just not quite what I was looking for. It’s not a dealbreaker, especially for the price, and I have decided to keep it because it does put out good light And has a large lighting head on it rather than a tiny spotlight

Excellent lamp for just about anything. I mounted this to a computer dual monitor bracket and use it when back-lighting isn't enough. The Trond halo 9w even has felt wrap around the neck of the clamp to prevent scratching the surface. I generally like a dimly lit area around while on the computer, but often times need more light. A flash light doesn't cut it. The goose-neck is nice and rigid without being extremely difficult to position. The clamp is strong but not vise-grip strong so it's wise to use two hands if you need to snake the goose-neck into several bends. This shouldn't be a problem if you plan to position it and forget it. I have mine coming up from the bracket and over my secondary monitor transitioning to the horizontal over to my main monitor with the lamp just slightly above the monitors bezel and it stay put! No sagging over time and when turned on the light splashes the full width of my 80" desk. I wouldn't get less than 9w LED. To relate to a LED Vs Incandescent light. The Trond's three settings are approx like a: 40w, 75w and 100+w incandescent bulb but is much cleaner (purer) light. I was amazed how pure the light was. The drawback to this is I noticed dust where I thought there was none. I was so impressed with this lamp and how pure and clean the light is I'm planning on buying two more. And the quality to price ratio in my opinion is 100:1.

Gift. Husband pleased with item

This is a nice lamp and probably works ok if you clamp it horizontally like on the edge of a desk. But we needed it on a headboard of a bed so we clamped it vertically and the gooseneck of the lamp would not hold the light in the upright position. It would droop down. You can see in the web page for this item they have a person painting with the lamp clamped vertically the way we had it on the headboard and it is drooping down over the painting, but it is not clear that it cannot be moved higher than this. In fact, ours drooped even more than that. So if you are using it for a desk it should work fine. It is very, very bright on its highest setting which is nice.

I bought this lamp to help with my close-up photography of miniatures. I needed a bright daylight-like diffused light that I could easily position and wasn't too big, and that is exactly what this lamp provides. The clip is strong and sturdy and opens wide enough to clip to a desk and the cable is quite long which makes it easy to move about and not be tethered too near the electric socket or have to faff with extensions. The flexible gooseneck could be a tad longer but is adequate for most uses and is a little stiff to bend however, this is a good thing as it easily supports the weight of the lamp head. Three light levels give a good range depending on how much light you need, the dimmest is fine for a general desk light or perhaps reading when only a lower light level is required and the brightest is great for craft work etc. The translucent panel acts as a diffuser to soften the light. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the light and for the price (£11.99 at time of purchase) you can't go wrong. I have purchased quite a few led lights in the past and this one so far is my favourite, let's hope it has a long life!

I havent switched it on yet as the plug doesnt fit our sockets.

The lamp is not super bright, but ample sufficient for most general desk use. I would have liked the arm a little longer, but again, that is just me. The clamp is great, much better than other lamps I have. I also like that the lamp comes on when power is supplied, i.e. when connected to a power bar, that switch will turn the lamp on and off. As it should be. The downside of that is if it is connected to a regular wall outlet, a power bump will turn the lamp on.

What a great lamp. The clamp is quite strong and I had no problem connecting it to the headboard of the bed. The goose neck is really strong but flexible enough to put it in what ever position suits your needs. The lamp has a very soft touch switch which allows you to cycle through the 3 lamp luminous settings. The light is a very soothing white light and easy on the eyes and not like the yellow light of most incandescent lights. It is easy to set up and the lamp comes extremely well packaged. This is a very lovely reading lamp and we are more than pleased with it.

Good product. Makes reading in bed easier. Takes no room up on bedside table. I got this one for my friend for her birthday as I had liked mine so much
