He had to spoon it into the jars because the opening is too small to use a regular funnel. After researching on line, finally found the Linden Sweden Jam Funnel. Ordered it and it works exceptionally well with the 1 1/2 oz canning jars. The opening is wide enough to let the jam through at a nice pace and the funnel fits snugly into the opening of the jar. Makes it so easy to fill the small jars without spillage. Highly recommend this funnel for use with 1 1/2 oz jars as well as the 3 3/4 oz jars. The only problem is that there is no efficient way to hang this funnel with its handle. The handle is close to the body of the funnel making it impossible to use the handle for hanging it because the weight of the body of the funnel brings it down. It would be nice if the handle was brought out a bit off the body and/or had a hole to hang storage. The bottom opening (spout) diameter is 3 cm (1 18 inch). **Q: I reuse jam jars need a funnel that fits 2 inch top** A: This should work for your needs.
