Great for cantilever umbrella
Works as described, we filled ours with sand and water for our 13x10' cantilever patio/pool umbrella. Sturdy and strong plastic material. Once filled you have to separate each section first to move them one by one to move the weighted umbrella. Since ours turns 360 degrees we leave it in place and adjust the umbrella to block out the sun. Also, if using water you have to replenish it from time to time as the water evaporates the heat.

Great price fast shipping and good quality.
Just got these today, and they fit perfect for my umbrella. I got an offset umbrella that is top heavy so you need these at the cross shaped base. We put water in them instead of sand and so far it’s a very effective item. I have a small porch with no shade so this is an easy fix. Highly recommend as it came overnight.

A pain to fill but worth every second
These bases are a pain to fill for sure. If your sand isn’t completely dry forget it going through a funnel well and the only sand our local store had was *moist* so it took a lot of work to fill each square using a combination of funneling sand and slow water stream to keep it moving. No idea what ratio of sand to water I got as an end result. HOWEVER, these have more than paid off over the past 2 months. We had some major thunderstorms and winds come through with tornados even nearby. For hours we forgot that we let the umbrella OPEN in those winds. But these weights did their job and it didn’t even scoot an inch. Then if you want to move the umbrella to a different location, the pins pop out and you can move each square easily. I’m so thrilled with how well these have held up to wind I can’t even deduct a star for how difficult they are to fill.

Wonderful umbrella base
I needed a base to hold my offset patio umbrella. Had been using concrete blocks but they are a pain when moving the umbrella. This base came nicely packaged. I used water to fill these up. You can use sand to make them heavier. I will have to remember to empty the water out before winter. Don't want the water to freeze and break the bases. This base fit well around my umbrella base. The base kit comes with some metal bars to lock the bases together over the umbrella base. My umbrella base is a tad wider so these bars don't fit. When filling these up with water, the caps that screw on were hard to get tight. I first tried hand tightening them. Then tried hand tightening using a towel for a better grip. Still leaked. I finally used a channel lock style pliers to tighten the caps more. That did the trick, no leaks. If you have to do this, try not to overtighten the caps and cause damage to them.

Cheap product does not work with water
I ordered this product because I ordered the Umbrella and there was no mention of buying the base that is sold separately. After some searching, I found this matching base. The base description, states it is a “4-Piece Umbrella Base Outdoor Umbrella Stand, Filled with Water or Sand”. I filled the bases up with water and screwed the caps on. Immediately the bases start leaking water all over my deck. I even tried re-screwing the cap several times thinking it was not on properly; however, every time, the bases continued to leak at the spout. I wrote Yaheetech and never heard back. I even had Amazon reach out to Yaheetech and still no response. I had to work through Amazon and get a replacement sent out and drive to UPS to return the base. After waiting another week, the replacement base arrived. I unpacked them and filled again with water. Immediately the bases started leaking again. Obviously the bases are not made well and cannot take water. If you want to even use this product you need to buy sand bags and tediously fill with a funnel. A lot of work involved this product. Yaheetech is doing it's customers a disservice not including the base with the Umbrella and not responding to complaints.

Design Could be Better for Winter Climates
I got a new patio umbrella to replace one that had broken and my former umbrella weights were too tall for the new umbrella design as they interferred with the umbrella’s swivel foot hinge. I purchased this item to solve the fit issue but the water caps on this item are positioned on the side edges, perpendicular to the ground, which means they cannot be left open for winter. When the caps are removed, the water pours out which leaves the umbrella at risk to tip over. The water caps on my former version were positioned on the top. I could remove the caps for winter to let the water expand as needed without bursting the weight enclosures. Right before first freeze this past winter, I opened up the water caps on the new weights and poured a significant amount of water out of the weights to allow room for winter freezing/expansion but two of the four still burst and are now incapable of holding water where they leak from their undersides like a leaky dam. I will have to try filling them with sand as a plan b since they can no longer hold water. I am disappointed in that I only got one season out of this version vs. my prior weights, which outlasted the umbrella they were supporting. IMO this item’s design is not ideally built for climate zones that go below freezing winter temperatures unless you plan to use sand.

Great. The lids are hard to get tight enough with your bare hand I used a wrench. Once I got them on completely they were good and sealed. So handy to hold down out offset 10 ft umbrella on a second story deck that gets a lot of wind.

This item seems good and sturdy but once it was filled with water the caps leaked
