I bought this as a little taster, before commiting to the big box set. This little book is beautiful! I have so many of the new cartoonish, (expensive!!) Thomas and Friends books for my two year old and passed over from when my 6yr old was little. Both boys lay on my bed with me and excitedly listened to the whole first story with a reading light torch, it was lovely. Love the way it's originally written and love the detail in the artwork instead of the big cartoonish, computerised pictures. Box set is in my basket for my youngests 3rd birthday :) something to treasure and pass on to grandchildren.
