They are not solid silicone and are flexible which I prefer. Washed & dried well before first use but also left mitts sit in the warm dryer afterwards to dry the insides of the mitts. I don't like the dish clothes which are netted on one side and material is not cotton but will use anyways. Packaging was vacuumed-packed.
