Still, hard to get XL ones that fit my massive head! lol. XL here fits me (just), and the quality seems pretty good. No idea re the longevity of the thing, but the leather seems nice, the brim is properly shapable. The hat is a quite 'hard' leather. A stiff hat. It's not soft and/or crushable. I sprayed mine with some water repellant as I will wear it in the rain. Seems to be fine. The retainer is a welcome addition. If I had a criticism, it would be that the top needs to be just a few mm taller for a little space, especially if you put the hat band inside when wearing.
