Amazing comb
Unbeliveble! This poodle comb is great! I have a fluffy goldendoodle and I kept buying all kinds of brushes and combs to be able to keep him in a long coat. His hair is soft and curly, softer than most poodles are but thick and curly like a poodle. I own multiple CC brushes, pin and sleekers but this is my first CC comb. I had an Olser comb and I was thinking it is good enough and the price was right. After I realized that the CC large orange slicker brush is my favorite brunsh and I keep reaking about this comb I decided to give it a try. It has longer teeth than my other combs and the comb itself is much longer as well it is very versatile. It is a little pointyer than I expected an it can scratch the skin if I am not careful, but it does an amazing job finding matts and removing them. Now my boy is even fluffier than ever before. He is not in love with this comb but he will tolerate it, probably I have to get used to it as well but my advice is that if you have a poodle or poodle-like dog get this and you will not regret it!

Perfect for Standard Poodles!
Awesome comb! Makes grooming easier. My poodle loves the comb. Does exactly what they said it would do. Worth every penny.

Great at de - matting my long hair cat
The comb is very well made. Very smoothly finished so that it glides through the fur. Unlike the trashy china made knockoffs, nothing falls off the comb with use. I use it to dematt my long hair senior cat who stopped doing a good job grooming herself after a recent major dental operation. I found the best way is to use this comb to isolate the tangled knot and then use the comb in a light scratching pulling motion to slowly untangle the knot a little bit at a time. It does not seem to bother the cat grooming this way as she stays steady and even purrs. My “old kitten” is now sporting a silky smooth fur again.

Works Great but Hard to hold onto with Arthritic Hands
I love how this comb works. I have a Shiba Inu and that double coat can be a challenge to get cleaned up. My breeder recommended this comb and it works great. The only issue I have is holding onto it. It really tires my hands out. Admittedly I have significant arthritis in my hands. So by the time I comb my small dog my hands are really aching from trying to hold onto this narrow comb. I bought some foam pipe insulation and will try cutting and taping that onto one end to see if that helps my grip.

Yes, It's worth it.
The comb I've been using for over ten years began losing teeth so I needed to replace it. I first purchased an Andis comb, since I like their razors and blades, and I thought the stainless steel design would be less likely to lose teeth. However, it's much heavier than my old, aluminum comb which can be fatiguing when spending 30-45 min combing out a standard poodle. After reading through many reviews, I decided to splurge and buy this "Buttercomb." It's so nice! It's lightweight and the teeth are shorter and more widely spaced so it glides through poodle hair more smoothly. I'm very happy with this purchase.

THEY were right
I have a 5 month old Havanese puppy. Since bringing her home at 9 weeks, I have purchased a pin brush, slicker brush, dual sided brush w rubber knobs on ends, 360 comb and another similar. She hates every one of them but I kept at it knowing it was necessary as her coat grows out. I have spent more money on those combined than on the purchase of the CC butter comb and a small CC wooden pin brush (both of which the forums all recommended but I couldn’t get past the $5x and $3x coat)!!! Both arrived today and brushing and combing commenced. My dog laid down distressed but eventually rolled over on her back wanting more! So worth the money for quality, east of use, ease of coming through her growing coat, no tugging and pulling and honestly, made for a nice experience for both of us! Just take the plunge! Think about how much you have spent up to this point…and you will never need to again!!

Great comb. Wish it were a little shorter
This comb was recommend by my breeder. It is a great comb for my 14wk old miniature poodle. I just wish it came in a shorter length. It's really long. Half the size would be even more perfect. Tried to show a picture of the comb relative to my puppy but she never sits still!! I highly recommend this comb.
