we had heavy steel security doors on all entry points when we bought our home. There was no key for the garage and unfortunately hubby destroyed the original lock in an effort to get the door free. on a positive note- it would be pretty near impossible to break in, lol. We found the replacement lock and were able to get it installed pretty easily. i am always amazed at absolutely everything i can find on amazon. it sure makes it easy.

Great lock, great price. Do yourself a favor and read the handing directions carefully . I printed them and read them carefully . The handing can be confusing. Left hand, right hand, left hand reverse. Right hand reverse. Keyed cylinder on top or knob on top. Take the few minutes to get it right. I did and am very pleased!,

Good looking set and has a really great ornamental look to it. This set's dimensions are exactly as advertised and fitted my door perfectly. I didn't have to modify anything on the lockset or the door for a successful installation. The locking mechanism and key slots works great and are smooth. The only reason why I took one star off for the rating is the because the door handle become loose on the inside direction of the lockset. I tried everything to tighten it, but theres no solution. I've even tried to dissemble the lockset to see if there is somewhere I could have tightened the knob, but nothing seemed to do the trick. It doesn't affect the functionality of the lockset, but kind of strange that only the inside is shifty and loose. Nonetheless, it's a great set and I would recommend to anyone looking for a similar style door lockset.

Has all the features of more locks that cost more. Instructions were clear and easily followed. I had to disassemble the lock and reverse the components for a left handed door that opens outward (LHR) however it was quick and simple to do following the directions. Perfect fit in our security door. Would buy again.
