Great glove
Great bang for your buck glove for a large adult. Can play several positions with this glove no issue. Break in was quick and easy, lightweight on the hand, and holds up to the abuse of a higher pace of play.

Comfortable and Game-Ready for Casual Play
I picked up this Rawlings Player Preferred glove for weekend softball games and it’s been a great choice. The 12.5 inch size with the basket web is super versatile. It works well whether I’m in the outfield or just playing catch. One thing I really like is how soft and broken-in it felt right out of the box. There was still a little shaping needed, but it didn’t take much to get it ready for the field. The leather feels solid for the price, and the padded interior makes it comfortable to wear for longer stretches. I’m not a serious player, just someone who enjoys a good game with friends, and this glove gets the job done. If you’re looking for something reliable that doesn’t cost a fortune, this is a great option. It would be perfect for casual players, beginners, or anyone needing a quality backup glove.

Nice glove
Nice to play catch with - feels like great quality. Took about 5 sessions of catch to break it in. Doesn't hurt palm as much as other gloves due to padding so that's nice.

Great quality, but a rather tight fit.
I am a 31 year old guy, 5ft 9 in, ~160 lbs, with medium sized hands I suppose. The 12.5” Player Preferred model is rather tight around the fingers and thumb to start with. I don’t know if the fit will loosen over time. I am guessing mostly not. The thumb loop can be adjusted and re-tied easily enough, but not for the 4 finger(s) spacing. I ordered both this model and the Rawlings Renegade model in 13” off amazon. I am testing both out to see which one I like more. The webbing size is fine for this 12.5” size, but the difference with the overall fit of the hand between a 12.5” and 13” is staggering. There is a much more “snug” fit with the 12.5” size as I said, even though the 13” glove is a different model from Rawlings, called Renegade. I wouldn’t know how a 12.5” Renegade glove would compare to this Player Preferred series unless I ordered those specific sizes for each, which I did not. Overall, this Player Preferred glove genuinely “feels” higher in quality, while only being marginally more expensive... maybe $20 more or less than the Renegade model...but again the quality is noticeable! The Renegade 13” model also had interior leather stitching I could feel just below the pinky liner area when I move my pinky inward, whereas this Player Preferred 12.5” model did not have any issues with unwanted stuff I could feel inside the lining where the hand goes. When you buy a glove, no matter the cost, I imagine someone wants their hands to be comfortable and not have their hands “rubbing” against something that should not be there. It’s a small annoyance, but it’s definitely there! Maybe the Renegade 13” model I tried was an anomaly in that aspect for the questionable pinky lining? For more than $40, a person should be able to get a glove that doesn’t offer any discomfort for the lining area, no matter how minor. I like both gloves... I like Renegade’s extra hand space and larger webbing, but the Player Preferred model has quite a bit better construction with smaller webbing and a tighter fit. Also, both gloves had leather hand lining for the palm of the hand, then a different “warmer” material for the back of the hand. It’s a good combo for the interior lining that provides a quality feel no matter which glove you decide upon. Both have a Velcro strap— my 1st glove to have one— which really does help to provide a better fit than I thought the Velcro strap would. Decisions, decisions... I hope that I helped for someone on the fence between the two Rawlings models, or any glove(s) at similar price points!

Easy to break in and good quality
Bought two gloves for my son and I. They were very easy to break in. He plays U18 in South Africa and I play masters. They both work really well and quality is good.

Best glove Ive ever owned
1. Good Leather Quality: Full-grain leather gives a premium feel and long-term resilience. 2. Balanced Break-In Time: Not too stiff, not too soft — breaks in well without being fragile. 3. Secure Fit: Adjustable wrist means a glove that stays put even when making quick plays. 4. Impact Protection: The palm padding reduces sting, which is great for infielders or pitchers. 5. Value: For the level of leather and design, it’s a strong value compared to very high-end pro gloves.

Best glove for the money.
After having my $20 glove of 5 years begin to dry rot, I decided to spend a bit mor for this one. I love it. It shipped within a few hours and was decently well ready to go. I will need to slightly break it in, but I was able to use it for practice immediately. Looks great, feels great, priced great, works great. Would buy again.

This is my first new glove in over 15 years but I’ve always had Rawlings so I decided to stick with it. I have not been disappointed! The leather smell was perfect as soon as I opened the bag and it fits perfectly. I have a larger hand so I’ll need to work in the finger slots a bit for better comfort but there is no lacing that rubs my hand like in some other brands I tried. It’s a bit stiff as you can see in the video but it won’t take long to break in, I’ve definitely had stiffer gloves in the past. Love the woven web and the texture in it, and the classic red touches of the Rawlings logo. Can’t wait to work this in and get playing!
