I bought this a while ago now and it works perfectly. If you only want to polish small volumes then buy one!

CONSIGLIATISSIMO!

An honest review, the tumbler is fantastic, I watched some Youtube videos comparing it to others and have found that it has low energy use and can tumble much faster than most other tumblers. It's in my kitchen and with the door closed I cannot hear it when I'm watching TV or listening to music (Although I quite like the sound of the tumbler, it's relaxing to me so I leave my door open). I am a total amateur and my only experience is picking up pretty stones in my travels. I've accumulated a few nice ones! But this kit also came with some very nice stones too! (Although many too small to survive the process). The instructions said that the first grit should be run for 3 days on the top speed, but after around 24 hours I checked my first batch and most were ready, my second and third batch ran again for another 24 hours each and I ended up with 1 large batch of well rounded stones, however many of the stones shrank significantly and I think a couple totally disintegrated so be careful! Check often, rinse them off (Not down the sink) and take them out when ready, put the not-ready ones back in. Unlike the suggestion to tumble them with the first grit for 3 days on max speed... I'd have lost most of my stones if I had blindly followed that instruction. Be ready to have to deal with sludge, the water gets very dirty and does not want to be poured down the sink, I put it in a bucket and leave it for 24 hours to settle than syphon off the clean water and leave the dirty sludge to dehydrate into a solid. I hope that helps, I'm really enjoying this new hobby! But I've already run out of stones, oh no!
