The lens protective cover lives up to expectations, works as expected and was easily fit onto the camera.

This Lens Protector Cover fit perfectly on my TG-6. It was a snap to install and remove, and the mechanism to open and close the protective blades functioned smoothly and precisely. Some reviewers report problems with stuck blades or a non-working mechanism, but mine exhibited no issues whatsoever. Dust or sand in the mechanism may jam the blades, but they can probably be restored to full functioning with some judicious cleaning. For the everyday use to which I put my camera, this is a great accessory at a fraction of the cost of the Olympus name-brand item. This is SO much better than the detachable, easy-to-lose separate lens cap that I'd been using since I bought the camera that I have no hesitation in giving it a most enthusiastic five-star rating.

Feels like a great quality product! Maybe not as secure as a traditional lens cover, but I think this will work well for my use. It swaps out with the stock ring super easily- it took only seconds to change out. After taking some test photos, it does not appear to affect image capture in any way. My only concern is that the shutter twists open very easily, so I definitely wouldn't put this on your camera and then stick it in a purse, backpack, or pocket and expect 100% protection- I recommend using this with a camera pouch or bag. Overall, I'm very pleased with this lens cover!

I'm actually surprised that the TG-6 does not have a lens cover to begin with. That being said, this one fits perfectly and works exactly as it should. Price is good, in my opinion this is a must have to prevent damaging the lens inadvertantly.

It does not like saltwater. The Lens protector cover is not of good quality. I ordered the first one in December and used it 3 times underwater and it failed to close after 3 uses. I contacted the seller and they replaced it. I used it 5 times in the water and it failed again. I will try somthing else.
