(Hopefully I won't need it when on the water!) Thankfully regs have changed (in Tasmania, Australia) to allow an EVDS instead of flares - no more replacing them every 3 years. The Sirius unit was a good price and represents good value. (bit of no-brainer really to get one when your flares expire).
