Originally I thought the problem was in the set-up. I took it to two different shops for a total of three adjustments. The bike would never change gears properly. I thought it was because of a bad rear derailleur. This past week I took it to yet another shop two hours from my home. (So far I have spent over two hundred dollars for mechanic work). The pro mechanic looked at my bike and said that he thought the Shimano 105 group set was fine. He looked over the bike carefully and stated that it was inferior. He told me the frame, wheels, hubs, and spokes was in his words "junk." He also stated that the problem could be in the cable, rear cog, or a bent derailleur hanger. He refused to take the bike as a trade, and was not interested in working on it. I have now purchased another road bike, and will pick it up next week.
