It worked perfectly. The upper ring is 36" wide and as you can see in the photo, it was a perfect fit. I had to drill out the holes because the factory ones didn't line up perfectly but that was no big deal. The upper part of the bows were in upside down but that was just a matter of pulling them out of the canvas and turning them around, otherwise the canvas would be upside down. If your installing this into aluminum as I was, you'll need a bigger pilot hole than the 1/8" hole the directions call for. The screws were substandard and kept wringing the heads off but I keep stainless screws so I used mine instead without any problem. It came with mounting hardware so I was able to install it in about ten minutes.Worked perfectly on the Suwanee river, even in a good breeze. I'm really happy with it so far!edit 7-12-18I have now mounted the canopy on my Hobie PA 14 kayak, and it fit great on that one.
