Amazon Basics Mini DisplayPort to VGA Monitor Adapter, White

Has been connected to MacBook Pro for a few weeks, and allows me to use an HP monitor to double my screens. Plug and play... Has worked perfectly without glitches. Great value! Exactly what was needed to get more screens up and running.

I had a cheap multiport one at the start of the pandemic, but it stopped working after a little while. This amazon one connects right away and still works really well. It's portable and works on my surface and MacBook air very well. Makes dual monitors super easy! Also, the white color does not get yellow or fade like many other cables. The cable is thick but still bendable; so far, it has not frayed and look brand new.

This worked with no complications. It was as advertised and I liked that tremendously.

So far, it’s working fantastically! I can plug my ancient monitor into my decade old iMac and actually be productive! Rather short, but does the job well. It’s a dongle. It doesn’t need to be eight meters long. The few cm is enough when combined with my decently long VGA cord. I’ll update if/when any problems arise, but so far I’m impressed.

this video adapter works in terms of another display and its easy to setup on a mac i work in i.t.. the only this that the adapter wont do,only because its analog is play hdcp video from itunes and flixster and vudu. you have to have a mini display port to a dvi or hdmi to mkae it work although youtube worka fine because it must not have same rules. like i sad playing hd video from those sources wont work because of the analog signal. eveything else works beautiful and i spend like 11$ and its an amazon basics you do not have to have apple branded everything to have everything flow smooth with a macbook pro which is what im using.

I have purchased AmazonBasics Mini DisplayPort (Thunderbolt) and it arrived in 2 day prime shipping. The package it arrived in is Amazonbasics envelope as they always do. The package was brand new never opened. This was needed as new thin laptops remove the old style display ports and opt to Mini Display/HDMI/ etc. This is a plug and play device and worked as expected. I would recommend this product to someone that is upgrading there laptop and still have an older model monitor they are using until they get enough money to upgrade that too.

Short and sweet ... this works! Using an HDMI cable on my new monitor with my Mac Mini cut my screen down by 1.5 inches all the way around and the clarity was not nearly as good. Now what's the point in having a 32" monitor if you can't view the entire screen? AmazonBasics VGA to Thunderbolt 2 gave me a full screen and an amazingly clear picture and easy on the eyes to read screen. I tried other DisplayPorts and this one is the only one that worked!

Easy to use connects great to my projector.
