These pads are pretty tough though and can be easily washed and reused. **Q: I have a drill with maximum RPM 1650. It is not 3500. Will this product work with my current drill?** A: Honestly, I wouldn't use it with anything other than the max speed recommended (which is still half the speed of my 12v corded DA polisher that goes up to 6400rpm's). I tried this product with a drill similar to yours, and while it does work, it just takes a LOT more time and effort to get results. It does work on light scuffs and swirls, but anything more takes an incredible amount more effort than it should. **Q: I want to get this for my husband for Father's Day. What is the best type of drill to use with this system?** A: I would recommend using it with a drill that develops at least 1200 rpm. I have mine connected to a corded Makita power drill that gets up to >1500 rpm - IIRC. The drill is a bit heavy, so I decided to try the DA head on my recently acquired Porter Cable battery powered driver - but it did not develop enough RPM to get the DA head turning fast enough. The DA head has a gearing mechanism inside it that reduces the input RPM, so if the drill isn't putting out enough, the DA head will not work well at all. That said - I highly recommend the DA head system for polishing / waxing your car. It makes the work really easy, with VERY good results. A few days ago and polished my Infiniti G20 in about 2 hours. Go ahead and also get the different pads - compound, polish and wax, together with the corresponding Meguiar's liquid polish. You would have great results! Hope that helps. **Q: Will this work with the m105 ultra cut compound and 205 polish and do i use the same pads.** A: You could use this with that compound, but I recommend you switching the foam out to either the cutting disc or the brown pads which were designed for cutting/compounding/ polishing. The yellow foam I believe is for waxing.
