Can the oil act as a substitute for the beard balm or do people usually use both?

I use both. Oil just out of the shower after a towel dry and then balm to style it and keep the wild hairs in place.

how do you apply the oil to the beard

There are several ways to use the oil. Some drop it immediately in their beards, I prefer to drop it in my palm to see the amount I'm using so my beard don't get too greasy and then rub it in. Dependending on the state of my beard I comb it first or straight brush it (mostly). The oil is excellent!

Ok for a 6" goat? It's way untamed. Would be nice if I could grow more but it's all I have.

I'm thinking this will work fine for you. Won't be over night though. Mine is trimmed beard with 4inch goat and after a month and a half, its way softer. Helps if you comb it out regularly. The bottle is small but drops go a long way. Pretty cool. I had never tried anything like this and I've worn a beard for over 10 years.

My Favorite Beard Oil

ive been ordering and using this beard oil for about a year now, previously i had tried and tested at least 20 different oils, this is the one i stuck with because it feels good, it smells good & even though the bottle is quite small it lasts long!

In questa recensione parlo del Bourbon, che in foto è insieme al Bay Rum ormai finito, e devo dire che anche questa profumazione è eccezionale e per me i miei due preferiti. Olio davvero fantastico e con un grande impatto idratante sulla barba. Penso che questi due saranno i miei oli principali. Appena lo finisco proverò anche il Caramello che era finito. GBS eccellente.

Superb smell, brutish elegance!

Awesome smelling oil, which goes a long way upon application. Keeps beard feeling soft and smooth, with a shiny lustre. Would be great to see a sea salt, scented beard spray as well. I know, alot to ask for, but would be awesome for those that blow dry their beards to eliminate the frizz. Overall, rock solid product.
