KastKing Perigee II Fishing Rods, Casting Rod 7ft - Medium and Medium Heavy - Fast - Twin-tip Rod (2Tips+1 Butt Section)

I was skeptical at first as the brand name was previously unknown to me. After seeing so many positive reviews and videos I decided to give it a try. I have not been dissatisfied. The fact that it comes with two tips in different action. Fuji guides are great - very rare for a rod at this price point. Great action and durable. Is it the most balanced or lightest weight - no - but it is still balanced and light weight and better than most anything in this price range. Very happy and I have multiple Kast King rods now.

The Perigee II Rod is the first bass rod I have bought from KastKing. Upon opening the package one of the first things I noticed how the handle feels. The grips are nice and feel good in the hand. The reel test will be when I use this rod for a day fishing. I never seen a rod that you could buy with a twin tip before so I opted for MH and Medium. KastKing made it possible to have two rods in one. Aesthetically this is a beautiful rod the flat finish with the gloss and exposed carbon on the reel seat are pleasing to the eye. The components are not bottom shelf! The top end Fuji components are an added bonus . The spigot design on the rod is a great idea. I like it because over time on a two piece rod the connection becomes loose and the rod will separate when casting. I got way more of a rod than I paid for.

I purchased the KastKing Perigee II Fishing Rods, Casting Rod Twin-tip 7ft -M and MH-Fast(2Tips+1 Butt Section). Although I have not officially used it yet, this rod feels great in my hands. It's light weight yet feels strong enough to handle large red drum and sea trout. I do a lot of year round surf and pier fishing and having the 2 tips (M & MH) allows me to adjust the rod action to the bite. packaging was outstanding - I'm saving the shipping tube for future use. I also purchased the their R60 reel but it is a bit to large for this rod. I'm keeping the R60 and will purchase the R40 to pair with this rod. Recommendation for KastKing - it would be very helpful if you added rod / reel pairing recommendations to your website since we (online customers) can not touch and feel the combos until after purchase.

I really like the two tip option on this rod. Nice to have the ability to change out based on needs. I haven't used it yet, but the overall construction seems very solid. It is a nice looking rod in general and the weight is good as well. Price for quality is great. I spent twice the amount on a different brand and the quality was not nearly as good. The 150 dollar rod I bought and returned had bent eyes, came lose in a cardboard box with no packing material at all and was in general not nearly as nice as this one. This kastking came in a nicely packed tube with foam material to protect it, and was fully wrapped inside the tube to protect the rod. I ended up getting two of the kastkings for less than the price of the other and the quality seems to be better right out of the box.
