it was perfect length to hold what I wanted with extra length that I could cut off

Purchased these at the same time as ordering a privacy screen for my rather large deck. Experience rather high and gusting winds sometimes and last year the privacy screen I'd purchased was ripped right out of the sockets/gromlets. These are much sturdier and will no doubt withstand the testings of Mother Nature. You can see them in the shot of my screening attached to my deck railing in the photograph.

Much thinner than the normal stuff I've been used to. Hope they hold up longer in the sunshine

They just normal zip ties. They are built well enough. I can't say anything about the UV resistance.
