Worked well as a costume piece
I'm not sure if I'm the right person to be taking advice from since I did only buy this for a costume and I did dye it...BUT if anyone' interested here are my two cents: Practically speaking, it came just as pictured--a long white apron. However I was using it for a costume for a murder mystery dinner (I was a bar keep in the world west) so I dyed it in a vat of strong tea to get rid of the blinding white look and give it a more period look. From a practicality and fit standpoint, no problems all night, I didnt need to re-tie it or anything and it didnt ride down which I thought might be an issue. The waist ties are long enough I could wrap it around my waist and tie in the front. The fabric isn't cotton, it's thick and oddly silky feeling. Im not sure what it is, but I imagine it would do a good job repealing stains from you clothing when cooking.
