Super happy with this light would take this over LED all day. It’s much brighter and it puts out a more orange spectrum rather that bright white blue. LEDs break often, it’s new tech and uses double the wattage. The solar LED panels also don’t last. You can’t beat the classic tech of HPS. Set up was simple I just added a cord w/plug for my needs and there are 3 mounting bolts and done. 70watts that will light your space up. Not paid by anyone real one here

Product arrived intact and in good condition. Only hiccup was it was a day late, but we’d rather it not be dropped off at 10:00 at night either. So the next day was ok. Installed the light to replace an older one that got struck by lightning. The new one works well. It’s nice a handful of suppliers even have high pressure sodium fixtures. We’re not crazy about the new CFLs and LEDs as they’re hard on our eyes. This light has a softer amber glow to it.

Bought this light about 2 years ago. Worked great until about a week ago. Now comes on sometimes late at night or times not at all. Replaced the bulb but still the same.... now wondering how long our other one will work ( we purchased it in June) Would not buy this product again.....have to give it one star just to post this review

I bought this to replace the same style light made by Regent, installed on my barn in 2007. The Regent brand lights were ubiquitous in farm stores and home improvement centers back then. Writing this review so those trying to replace a Regent will know the three mounting holes are the same as the old Regent lights. Perhaps that's an industry standard mounting pattern. Three criticisms. 1. The light comes with the hot and neutral wires (black and white) but no ground wire. Instead, they supply a small green bolt, and mounting spot on the arm, and you must supply the grounding wire. No big deal, I just cut the one off the Regent I was replacing. 2. They don't supply two short 3/8 inch bolts you need to mount the strip of metal that conceals the wiring on the underside of the mounting arm. 3. The aluminum piece that holds the plastic lens is incredibly cheap. I believe it's the same material used to make disposal aluminum baking sheets. I understand it doesn't have to be strong, but that piece was especially flimsy compared to the one on the Regent. Having said all that, the light worked fine once I finished installing it. And if it's cheaply made, it's also cheaply priced, so that's to be expected. I considered getting an LED, but couldn't find one that had a replaceable bulb, plus high pressure sodium puts out a lot of light for the watts used. Hopefully this one will last me for years, because I'm getting too old to be working up on ladders.

I actually replaced the lithonia 150w hps flood with this, while it doesnt have the downward range of the flood, its plenty bright enough and has a 360 degree lighting range, versus a V shape cone of the flood. Also uses only 70w instead of 150.. The extra 80 watts wasnt that much brighter. I ordered, two, both work so far, and both arrived un damaged, i noticed on the desciption it says the housing is painted. Looks painted too, i was worried it would be steel.. but no its a die cast aluminum and it isnt paint thank god. The complaints of the hood being flimsy.. Listen guys i have 175w mercury vapor lamps new in box made in 1997 from Regent and they are the same type of hood.. identical actually. Nothing has changed with the build quality in 25 years from what i can see.. I also have the GE models from old barn lights made in the USA with the clip on hoods. They are a little thicker i will give it that but the lense itself they feel just as flimsy.. So again built quality is fine. I do recommend that you use a washer on the screws when screwing it into the light, the screw heads are tiny and i can see a strong wind one day possibly pulling the cover off without a washer

I bought this light (which there are only 1 other model just like this) because it was the closest to what I originally had. It's easier to rinse and repeat than it is to jump into another unit, model, etc. And it was an easy installation. Looked just like my original and I saw the bulb which was smaller and thought this thing isn't going to cover the distance and I was shocked at a smaller bulb it did just as good. Only bad side is when it was shipped (which I knew was going to happen) the outside protective lens was cracked but no big deal I put it facing closest to the house. Even so it really doesn't take away the functionality of the light. I tried to avoid the shipping and tried at Home Depot but everywhere I went it was going to be shipped. As you see the light covers enough of what it needs to.

The bulb that came with the fixture only lasted 10 months, fixture is fine, easy to install

Eclairage jour/nuit parfait. Eclaire moins que notre ancien, mais au final, c'est moins agressant comme éclairage. Très bien.

I bought this light to replace the one that I had to light up my back yard.The old one was over 10 years old and it quit working, to replace the parts would have cost me just as much as buying a new one. This is a great light, works at all temperatures. Led lights don't work well in the winter at 30-40c.

This product did not work. Loose screws could be heard moving inside.

Bright, but definitely made a little cheap. I feel like a heavy rainfall would destroy the tinfoil part and lens in a heartbeat. It's very flimsy. But it's bright and works well. It comes with a bulb too which is a bonus. Also the box arrived in perfect condition, not half destroyed like many other things I've ordered on Amazon. 3 stars

Brought this outdoor light as it looked the same as the 1 which was already in our yard but as we had a barn/garage fire a few months back we needed a new light,this light as a sturdy frame and works perfect at a great price.
