I bought this to fix a problem I had with my old Bose Wired Earphones. The cables outer pvc had rotted and fell off exposing the actual wires. I was surprised that this happened to my earphones, but on checking it is apparantly a common fault in Bose & others. As the headphones were in good working order, this was an easy and effective way of sorting the problem. The earphones now look like new and even much better than the original cables. Allow 20-30mins to do this, although mine did take a bit longer as I put some tiny amounts of FixAll Crystal Clear Silicone on the damaged/open part of the cables and also at each end where they join the buds & plugs etc to give extra protection. The 60" provided was plenty for the earphones and the BLACK colour looks more like a shiny Gunmetal Grey, very nice. Basically VERY HAPPY with the buy and brought my old £100+ Bose Earphones back to life.

Got this cable protection as my cat chewed through my broadband cable and had a go at a few other ones too. Bit fiddly to install, takes a bit of time and effort but woth it. Looks very nice and hopefully will solve the problem and prevent further damange to my cables.

This is a great idea if you have pets who like to chew cables. The only down side is it very fiddly to use, but with a good bit of patience, it looks good and does the job.

I've got a device where the wire insulative layer got broken but the unit is not repairable. I used Sugru glue over the broken wire and then wrapped this over the top, and as you can see it wrapped perfectly around both my wire and the thicker Sugru and device connector. As others have said it takes a little time to wrap the wire but the effort is really worth it! The black metallic plastic itself is a very warm black...almost a dark bronze but very attractive. It is also a 'D' shape in cross section (not just a thin round tube) so that extra thickness is reassuring in terms of protection. I am so impressed with it so far....and have decided to use two layers for extra protection (i think one layer would be plenty under normal circumstances but this wire is used on a wheelchair so will get extra abuse). Ordering more so I can wrap more cables :)

It takes a while to get the coil wrapped around a charger cable. Once on though it does offer good protection. Apple laptop chargers are not cheap and our cat has destroyed 2 of them. This has kept them safe so far.

I bought this in my efforts to bunny proof our cables. Although it is fiddly, you get the hang of it after a while. The product feels strong and durable. The cable is a bit stiff after applying but I take that as a good sign. I found it a lot harder to wrap around my earphones but wrapping charging cables, which are thicker, was much easier and less time consuming. I only wish more came in the pack, I've ordered two more. I got the PlayStation Controller charging cable and a standard iPhone charger covered with one pack (only a small bit left over). It hasn't been put to the test by our rabbits yet, but I'm pretty confident with it. Update: It's been almost a month and I am not sure it is strong enough to withstand a rabbits bite, however my rabbits have no interest in chewing the cables that have this protector on them.. Not sure why exactly but it seems to deter them which is good enough for me for the time being.

Not very animal proof as took all of 30 second for my rabbit to chew through this so call animal proof product. Only thing this product is good for is making your cable look sparkly which is great for a preteen girl. Disappointed to say the least especially since it takes about 15 minutes to rap the full cable

Yes, I've awarded 5 stars. But this review comes with a warning... I am now finding any excuse to expose cables, just to use this product!! My mum, who's a thin lady, I found myself eyeing her legs, thinking would it wrap round, WOULD IT. The low quality pic, showing the one behind the telly. Believe it or not, there's a thick scart lead, thick aerial lead AND a thin HDMI all bundled together there!! 2 grumbles. It's fiddly, I won't lie. Practice on a keyring first - there's deffo a knack to it. Also, it comes in packaging that's ridiculous. Not the sellers fault, but needs pointing out. Legitimately, I will never use another kind of cable tidy ever again. Simply put, this is the cable tidy don. One very, very satisfied and happy Panda 🐼
